The Art of Dog

Worked with Dave and Marissa for both of our dogs and had a great experience. We did the board and train program with one dog and the training package with the other, and really appreciated how personalized the lessons were based on each dog’s needs. We have nothing but positive things to say. Both dogs now have strong off leash recall, are crate trained, no longer pull on the leash, and can comfortably go out in public. We also love having the option to use their boarding services going forward.

Our dog Zara was having some behavioral issues. Not listening, biting, jumping, trying to be the boss. After having her in the Board & Train program for 3 weeks, she came home a different dog!! Way less stress with her! She's has been great.. Very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend if you are having some issues with your pet. A huge Thanks to Dave and his crew for making all of our days for the better!!

Dave, Marissa and the whole team really changed our dogs. First one is Ollie. He used to have leash aggression, pulling and poor recall. Now, we’re very confident in bringing Ollie for walks, hikes and even at dog friendly stores/places without worrying about his old bad behaviors. This time, we brought our new dog, Freya. And we are certain that she’s learned a lot from the team. We’re excited to have two dogs that are well trained by Dave and Marissa! We will forever be grateful for The Art of Dog!

Dave and his team were beyond awesome with our dog, Sosa. We decided to do a 3 week board and train program while we moved into our new apartment in downtown Buffalo. Before doing the board and train program at The Art of Dog, I was physically unable to walk him by myself, and I haven’t been able to comfortably since he was 8 weeks old. Sosa is very strong, and very wild. The last time I did try walking him, I ended up face planting into the dirt while he ran in circles around me, practically laughing at me in dog language. Sosa’s behavior has changed so dramatically since last seeing him before his board and train program, I almost thought they switched him out with a more well behaved doppelgänger. I’m able to walk him!! My boyfriend is able to walk him without it being a struggle every time!! Sosa is a Staffordshire terrier mix, which is seen as a “scary dog breed” and both my boyfriend and I were nervous to leave him with someone else for the first time because of that, we were worried that his excitement would be misconstrued as aggression. We’re very very happy to say that they took such great care of Sosa! I can’t recommend them enough, and will be recommending them to our friends and family that are looking to receive dog training.
