Taylormade Dog Kennels truly surpassed all my expectations! From the moment I dropped off my pup, I felt confident they were in excellent hands. The staff was friendly, professional, and obviously passionate about dogs. They took the time to understand my dog's personality, routines, and any special needs, which provided me with genuine peace of mind. They also offered meals for my dogs, which I will definitely take advantage of next time. The facilities were immaculate and spacious, featuring both indoor and outdoor play areas. I received daily updates without any hesitation. It's evident that Taylormade doesn't merely "watch" dogs - they sincerely care for them. When I picked up my dog, they were happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved. I would wholeheartedly recommend Taylormade Dog Kennels to any pet parent seeking top-notch care. This place is truly a gem!

After our brilliant 13 year old gentle giant show-line Shepherd passed 2 years ago, my wife and I finally felt it was time, and last November, a respected local breeder just had a litter of giant working-line shepherds. I didn’t know much about working-line GSD’s, but my new pup was about to teach me. Kyzer, was huge, 40 lbs at 8 weeks, and grew like Kudzu, gaining 10 lbs every 2 weeks! He was supercharged with energy, he was teething and extremely chewy – including our hands, feet, arms, legs,.. his little needle teeth shredded us like a great white! In fact, he would patrol our house like a shark looking for mischief! When I walked him, he walked me, and I’m 6’2” 250. He skidded around on our hardwood floors, crashing into furniture, then launch into a fully airborne body check straight into me! He was a bull with a puppy brain. I was terrified he would knock over my 5’5” wife, who has spine issues; it was only a matter of time. So far, this working-line breed seemed more feral! I desperately tried to train him, but it seemed the more I tried, the worse he got. WTH? He was nothing like our old Show-line GSD who literally trained himself. I was desperate. I called the breeder who immediately said: “Don’t do another thing until you see Kris @ Taylor made.” Kris was great - he responded immediately and took Kyzer onto his awesome compound that weekend to observe his behavior. I was biting my nails, worried what Kris’s report might say. I was beginning to think that no one could help. When Kris returned Kyzer, he just laughed and said: “nothing wrong with Kyzer” “He’s just a puppy in an adult body, but more importantly, he’s a working-line shepherd, not like your old show-line.” “Working-line shepherds need proper training.” “They’re incredible animals, and actually happier when they know their boundaries & limitations, have purpose and know what is expected of them.” “The less trained they are, the less happy they are, and grow more out of control.” And so, we did his puppy level, 5-week board and train program, with a 1 week follow-up to make sure everything sticks. It's pretty cool; if you go on Instagram, you will see your pup being trained or in one of Kris’s videos with other dogs there. I saw a proud GSD sit like a sphynx for hours on a dog bed! Wait, was that Kyzer? Well, who would have believed it? When he brought Kyzer back, you would not have recognized him as the same animal! He obeys, takes commands, and in German! He actually heels and when approached, or when greeted, he sits in front of us instead of jumping on us! He no longer skids on our hardwood floors. When we return from outdoors, he goes straight to his bed… and not a single flying body check! AND HE DOESN’T SWALLOW OUR ARMS AND LEGS ANYMORE!! I couldn’t believe the change! I’ll close with this – I was literally at the breaking point and so worried for my wife- Kris literally changed the whole dynamic for our future with our new GSD puppy who is now 8 months old and 115lbs. We recently moved to a 30 acre property and decided it was time to get a dog that would work both as a family pet and as a deterrent around the property. With a 2, 4 and 6 year old, I knew we could not handle taking on a puppy at this time so I started to do research on getting a fully trained dog. I reached out to Kris a couple months ago, and he was able to tell me all of the dogs that were available. We were able to go over each dog and determine which one we thought would work best for our family and our situation. Kraya came to live with us a month ago and has been such a great dog already. She’s fit in with the family perfectly. Any questions we have and Kris has been more than willing to jump on a phone call and walk us through it. This has been the perfect scenario for someone who wants a well trained dog but doesn’t have the time to raise a puppy first.
