Tails Trails and Training

I was extremely impressed that Zac responded real quick after my inquiry. He came to our home and was wonderful. Zac even brought his family with him to help work with our dog. Wow, were we so thankful! Our 3 year old German Shepard, Malibu, has lots of energy and gets very excited when people come to our home especially little children. She has trouble getting herself to calm down. Right away he identified solutions to our issues and we began working on them. He spent lots of time explaining, showing us the proper training and allowing us to practice the solutions. One visit and we saw results. We have continuous training to do at home but so thrilled that Mali responded well. Zac gave us a game plan for gaining a more relaxed and well behaved pup! Did I say we can relax too?! My dog, Jasper, can be very aggressive, which has stopped me from being able to take him to different places. It is also a big problem at home when people he doesn't know come to visit. Jasper is a big dog - Newfoundland/Standard Poodle mix weighing 110 pounds - so he can be very intimidating. While he is a loving and playful dog once he gets to know someone, his aggressive tendencies have made it extremely difficult to have visitors come to our home. When Zac came to our home to begin training Jasper, he turned things around almost immediately. Then, we took Jasper to an Ace Hardware store nearby. I was concerned going into the store because whenever I have tried to bring Jasper to public places - inside or outdoors - in the past, his aggressive tendencies came out immediately. Before going into the store, Zac made a couple of recommendations and walked into the store with Jasper and me. Much to my surprise, Jasper did great. While he was definitely a little uneasy at first, he never lunged and/or barked at anyone and settled down within the first five minutes. Next, we left the store and then Jasper and I walked back in without Zac. Again, no lunging, no barking. It was a big relief. I have worked with several dog trainers in the past and none of them have achieved the results that Zac did. In just one lesson, he turned things around. There will be more work that needs to be done on my own with Jasper to continue to build on the start Zac gave us, but now I have the knowledge and confidence to do so. I highly recommend Zac!
