FirstBarkI love using tails a waggin for my puppies daycare and my dog loves going there. Nothing better than a long day of work and I get to relax with my dog all night since she got her runs/energy out at TAILS. Great staff and ownership

With 7+ trainers on staff, we carry a variety of certifications: CPDT, KA, APDT, pet CPR, we even have a Lisenced Animal Health technician on staff. we see all ages of dogs, and specialize in puppies as the only training based day care in Whatcom County

Tails-A-Wagging teaches a certified Canine Good Citizen class, which is the most common requirement for therearpy dog work in Whatcom County. They are do one on one private training for specific needs.

Do you have herding classes?
Although they do not offer a herding specific class, they do teach Wag It! Games which incorporated Treibball, a herding specific sport.

Tails does not offer herding classes. The best way to get started in herding would be to visit a local herding trial and observe the handlers, see whose style looks like something you might enjoy learning and then asking them if they are a trainer themselves or if they can recommend one. You will see many different styles in use in herding, make sure you look for a trainer that you feel comfortable with. Ask if you can observe a lesson or two that they have with another client and make sure their style will work for you and your dog. I take my dog for lessons once in awhile just for fun, our trainer teaches in Arlington.

I have gone to tails off and on for the last 10 years for daycare and training, and they are exceptional. I have moved states a couple of times in that 10 year period, used several daycares/training facilities in the areas that I moved to, and none even compare to tails. Tails offers so many amazing classes. Their trainers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Over the last year and a half with my younger dog, I have taken around 6 group classes, and done around 4 private sessions with my older dog. Every training class I have taken has not only been extremely helpful, but super fun. We have done daycare at tails off and on over the years. For the past year my younger dog has attended tails daycare twice a week. Unlike other daycares I have been to, I can rest easy knowing that my dog is being well looked after. Their daycare staff is very experienced. Daycare is not only a fun place for my dog to play all day, but it has also helped her with her confidence and manners, it has really helped to shape the amazing dog she is today. All that said, I cannot recommend tails enough!
My dog Casey has been going to tails for almost 7 years since she was 8 weeks old. The staff is wonderful with the pets, always friendly and welcoming and willing to help with any issues that arise with the pets. Casey is loving the place so much that when we get to the door she is already pulling me in so she can start to play with her friends as soon as possible.
My Puppy started last Friday. I was given helpful training resources to work with my puppy until her next day care day.

My puppy has been learning a great deal of good, the whole team is really amazing. Angela has personally dedicated extra time with Tucker and is guiding us through raising a smart reactive aussiedoodle pup which can be challenging! We’ve been learning counter conditioning techniques that are already working to calm him down in distracting environments. His manners at home are really good now and I couldn’t have done it myself! The trainers create a fun and positive experience for both me and my dog, which encourages us to continue the practice at home and gives us more confidence. I really appreciate this place, and definitely recommend any type of dog visit tails if they need some personal training
