Tactical K9

My husband and I decided to bring our puppy in for training after calling a few places. When we talked with Terry we decided on Tactical K9. Good people, good prices. Starting off, we ran into problems at the Vet that kept pushing back our start date for day training. Terry suggested a new vet to us that we are now very happy with. Terry was also very patient and flexible with us, which we appreciate. Training started and our puppy is a very suspicious and cautious guy, he eventually warmed up and was excited to go in the mornings. Jon did an awesome job working with our puppy, whose favor you have to earn. Both Jon and Terry are caring and attentive trainers who just want you to have the comfort of a well trained dog and will go out of their way to insure both you and your dog have the knowledge and skills to maintain the good behavior. Highly recommend based on quality of service and training.

I 100% recommend Tactical K9! They took wonderful care of my dog and he’s been so much better since going through their behavior modification course. I didn’t have the knowledge to teach him how to do all the things they’ve taught him and it greatly helped me with learning new ways to burn some of his energy. He can now be around other animals and people without being distracted and still listen to commands. I can’t praise them enough!

We adopted our 9-month-old from a GSD rescue. Within 2 weeks, as he became more comfortable in his new home, he began displaying bad habits. All our training attempts failed, and he no longer listened to us. We felt fearful in not being able to control him, and in dire need of professional help with his disobedience. We reached out to Terry (who was highly recommended) and explained the specific bad behaviors we were dealing with: pulling on his leash, bark and lunge at people we passed on walks, HARD play biting (he drew blood on me and our other dog), continually jump on people in our home, and bark constantly when he was in his crate. Terry recommended his Basic Obedience training program with the “board and train”. Throughout the training program, Terry sent us videos weekly of Jordi’s progress. Watching the transformation was incredible. We met Terry to pick up Jordi at the end of the training program, for a “train the trainer” session. Terry is not only a phenomenal trainer with dogs, but with people too! He spent 2 hours training us on the commands Jordi learned, and the importance in us building and maintaining trust with Jordi. It felt like a lot to re-learn and we both got frustrated at times, but Terry was patient and understanding with us. We cannot express the relief we feel with Jordi’s continued obedience. It has allowed us to enjoy his sweet demeanor, and a joy to see him WANT to be well-behaved. I continually recommended Terry and Tactical K9 to anyone who compliments Jordi’s great behavior on walks and in our home. Thanks again Terry, for everything!
