Synergy Dog Training & Behavior Solutions

We enrolled our 11 month Labradoodle, Koda, in Synergy's private training program where he was at their facility training for 2 hours per day, 5 days each week for 3 weeks. Each day when we picked him up we were told how to reinforce their training, and every Friday, Sarah coached us together with Koda. The results are awesome. Koda now comes reliably when we call him; goes to his bed reliably when we instruct him and in both situations stays until he is released. This is not to say he is perfect every time, but he knows the commands and obeys except when he has gotten super excited, in which case we have the tools to work with him. We highly recommend Sarah and her team for your dog training needs. Sarah is a true master and she listened to our needs and recommended a training regime that she was convinced would work for us, and she was right on. We were looking for a board and train program but we now see that her system works better because we get to reinforce the training at home each day and night and over the weeks we actually get much better trained than at a board and train; and lets face it--the key to successful dog training is really people training on how to consistently reinforce what the dog has learned. Sarah is a miracle worker! When our rescue saved Holly, a young female pit mix, she was hours away from euthanasia and pregnant with 8 puppies. Over the next 3 months as her puppies grew, we did our best to help Holly overcome her fears and learn to trust us. It was several weeks before she even raised er tail from between her legs, much less wagged it. Her eyes were always full of fear and sadness. She didn’t know a single command. She didn’t listen. She was afraid of everything except cats and chickens which she considered to be fair game if she caught them. She scared away several potential adopters with her ferocious sounding bark. We were losing hope that Holly would ever become a well-adjusted dog or get adopted. That’s when we found Sarah and everything changed. Sarah donated her time to our rescue and over the course of a few emails & phone calls she listened to our concerns and gave us some incredibly insightful strategies tailored to Holly’s specific issues. Her recommendations were simple to implement and had immediate and dramatic effect. Holly now has coping techniques to handle her fear. We have strategies to deal with meeting new people and new dogs. We have confidence in her ability to listen and obey, even in distracting places. A lot of it was just training us, the humans, in how to maintain Holly’s trust and ensure she would listen to us when we needed her to. We always knew Holly had amazing potential underneath all that fear and bristling bravado, we just didn’t know how to access it. Sarah was the key to helping Holly become her best self, and we couldn’t be more grateful to her & Synergy.

These ladies are magicians! Sarah and Annie took our pulling pup and turned him into a pleasure to walk with. We are near-full-time RVers who pulled into Estes Park for a four week stay and a frustration level with Bacchus, our nine-month old Frenchie, that was about pegging out the meter. We tried contacting several trainers to help and Sarah responded and, after several emails and a great consultation phone call, she offered us a couple options to help. Because we only had a few weeks, we opted to drop Bacchus off at Synergy each weekday for two weeks to get two hours each day of one-on-one training for him. On the two Fridays, we spent the second hour of training with them and they trained us in what he had learned and how we could help him continue to grow in his trustworthiness. They also added us to a one-hour group class each Saturday to help him with distractions and interactions with people and other dogs. The group was on there fourth week of training but they had Bacchus ready in the first week. If that wasn’t enough, Sarah spent an hour and a half of her Labor Day with us to be sure we had everything she could give to help us and Bacchus to be successful as we left the area and continued to train on our own. She also encouraged us to stay in touch with his progress and to reach out to her for help in the future. Sarah and Annie, both, could not have been sweeter or more knowledgeable.
