As first-time dog owners, we were worried we were in over our heads when we got a puppy during the pandemic. Our concerns quickly disappeared after our training sessions with Susie. Susie always took the time to understand what we wanted to address in each session and she always came up with insightful techniques to train our pup out of any bad habits. We cannot recommend Susie enough for all your dog training needs!

We adopted a 6-month old rescue dog that - in Susie's words - is a "live one": she was terrible on walks, barked at us in the evenings, and displayed resource guarding around food and her crate. After panic-emailing trainers before bed, Susie responded promptly and explained that our dog was simultaneously settling into our home and entering her preteen-boundary-pushing stage of life, lucky us! We took advantage of her affordable primer package which gave us access not only to Susie in-person at times convenient to us but also in-between sessions via email. Susie is incredibly down-to-earth and validated both our stress and the work we were putting in. She kept it light and made us laugh - which motivated us to not give up - and she is incredibly generous with her time. Her wealth of experience is evident and I'd highly recommend her to anyone who wants to develop a better relationship with their pup.

Susie is an excellent dog trainer! My dog is a rescue who was in the shelter for a very long time and didn't have any training. This is my first dog, so I also have a lot to learn. Susie is great with my dog, very supportive, and helps me feel comfortable as I learn how to engage with my dog. I also like that she uses positive reinforcement and clicker training. I saw huge improvements even after the first session! We've done three sessions together so far and made a lot of progress. She also provides detailed follow up after each session with tips for things to work on on my own. Highly recommend reaching out to Susie!
