Sunny Lane Canine Academy

So we did do training at about 5 months. We have a ST. Bernard mix. He's gonna be a big boy. We first tried old school training. Choke collars, prong collars, we even bought a muzzle. I had been having issues with my dog becoming very excited and charged and bit my arm. Asked trainer, "spray with lemon juice," was the suggestion. It happend again, "turn your back to the dog and ignore him" was the next suggestion. (Did you know some dogs consider that a sign of weakness and then concise themselves the dominate one?) Then one fine walk my dog charged, jumped and snapped at my arm. Over and over and over. I couldn't get him to stop. Called my son to come get the dog. I was ready to take him to the pound. I was really scarred. Carmen was recommended. I called her Friday evening, holiday weekend, and she called me Saturday morning. She gave us great advice over the phone! We scheduled a one on one visit. My dog didn't attack me again. And that was before our appointment. The appointment was amazing. Carmen taught us so much. Our big boy is doing great so far (it's been 2 days). He's 8 months, barely. Carmen's going to follow up in 2 weeks. I can't wait.
