While we did offer a discount for the initial boarding prior to training, we recognize that this may have set certain expectations for future pricing.<br><br>In this particular case, two young puppies were in our care for a total of approximately 45 days, although not all of that time was allocated for training. There were also boarding periods scheduled before and after the agreed-upon training camp, which were provided at discounted rates. Once the dogs entered the training phase, they presented some challenges, as is common with certain dogs, especially young puppies growing up together. It's important to note that we emphasize the significance of follow-up training and continued practice at home for optimal results.<br><br>After the puppies returned home, they initially exhibited some tendencies to revert back to their previous behavior while off leash. However, as mentioned above, we successfully guided them to follow commands and adapt to the newly established household rules. This was done with the use of an e-collar that was part of the training camp and used for reinforcement when off leash. Delivering high level stim "shock" would be incredibly inappropriate for a puppy. This was clearly understood at the time.<br><br>It's crucial to provide context regarding the follow-up training aspect of our services. In this particular situation, the client did not contact us for approximately 8-9 months following the training. There was no indication of any issues or requests for assistance during this period. It was only when the client reached out to reserve boarding space for the two dogs during a peak holiday season that they expressed discontentment with the increased boarding costs.<br><br>We understand that prices for boarding had increased twice within that year and were clearly communicated on our website, including the elevated rate for holiday boarding. It was at this point that the negative review was posted, primarily stemming from frustration over the cost.<br><br>Upon discovering the client's unhappiness with the training, which was previously unknown to us, we promptly offered to provide additional support and training sessions. However, it's important to clarify that follow-up lessons after the initial training are typically utilized to establish a strong foundation from the beginning, rather than after an extended period when dogs may have reverted to old habits.<br><br>While we expressed our willingness to work with the client and their dogs, we did request the removal of the review due to its misrepresentation of the actual situation. The review falsely implied that the client had paid for 45 days of training, that the dogs misbehaved, and that the necessary assistance was refused. In reality, the frustration seemed to stem from the inability to secure boarding at the desired price. It's worth noting that the client claims to have paid $4000 for a 45-day board-and-train program for two dogs, which would equate to approximately $300 per week per dog, making it one of, if not the cheapest options for board-and-train services nationwide.<br><br>At StressLess Dog Care, we understand that it's impossible to please everyone at all times.
