Strategic K-9 Training

My husband and I recently brought home a male golden retriever puppy. Like all pups he had a ton of energy and was developing some habits that we wanted to address. We were referred to Strategic K-9 Training and they did not disappoint! We worked with John who was phenomenal.. he believed in us, when we didn’t always believe in ourselves. By the third training we started to feel a lot more confident working with our dog, Chief. We now have the confidence that we have what it takes to train Chief and to keep him a well-mannered dog. The best advice we can give anyone is to trust the process and try to have fun with it. The second we felt more comfortable with the tools we were learning, the more enjoyable the experience became. It may get frustrating at first, after all you are trying to understand what your dog is thinking, but this training works! We cannot thank John enough! We are actively going to continue to work with Chief, and trust the process. We have already seen a huge improvement in just a few trainings. John really taught us how to take control of our puppy. We learned it’s not all about training the dog but really about training the dogs parents on how to control the dogs behavior. John communicated with us very well throughout the entire process. We continue to work on our techniques even though our puppy has officially graduated! We were very pleased with this training and would recommend Strategic K-9 Training to anyone that wants to improve their dog’s life.

Joe was an amazing trainer to work with. I highly recommend using Strategic K-9 as your trainer. I have a 6 yr old female German Shepherd named Roxy that had issues with reactivity and needed desperate leash training. Ever since she got trained she has been so much better. Considering her age, I wasn’t very hopeful that the training would have any effect on her but it absolutely did. Joe answered all of the questions I had very promptly and was very honest throughout the whole process. I originally thought that she needed the Intermediate training but Joe assured me that she only needed the Basic training and we could proceed to Intermediate if I wanted to. I love how the technique used to train does not involve treats. I also like how you get trained to train your dog so that you know what you’re doing when Joe is not around. Joe interacted with Roxy as if she was his own which I really appreciated as well. The whole process was a breeze and I would definitely work with him again!

Great experience working with John. He really taught us how to communicate with our GSD Toga. She still challenges us but we now have the tools to correct and redirect her thanks to John. He's a real professional! She is such a more balanced dog. We couldn't be happier with Strategic K-9 Training. If your skeptical don't be. Just make an appointment you wont regret it.We plan on going back for more advanced training. We highly recommend Strategic K-9.
