After years of waiting, my spouse got her absolute dream dog, an adorable corgi puppy. This was our first dog and we were not ready for our cute, obsessive, herding dog. We tried other dog trainers, but things didn't seem to improve even with tons of work and we were getting frustrated., Monique at Stonebriar has extensive experience working with challenging breeds (like herding or working dogs). Training started with a clear discussion about our goals and her philosophy. She very quickly identified a few of our dogs triggers and things improved dramatically. She has an extremely humane approach and spends the time to explain exactly the rationale behind her methods. It has been a lot of homework, but we are seeing steady and clear improvement. We had our first class last night and I was very impressed. My little dog had started eating everything in sight. After a trip to the emergency vet when he ingested a sock I started searching for QUALITY training that didn’t rely on e-collars. I called Monique and after hearing all of her qualifications and experience was able to schedule a private lesson for the very next day.
