STL Dog Training

Jax is a fantastic trainer. We challenged her with an 8 week old golden retriever puppy and a 3.5 year old french bulldog dog set in his ways. We've already been told numerous times how well mannered our puppy is already and I'm completely blown away by how much improvement my french bulldog has made going from a reactive dog to one that can walk off-leash through a room of dogs and people and keep his focus soley on me. If you put in the work outside of the short training sessions training yourself and your dog, I guarantee Jax's training will work for you.

I highly recommend STL Dog Training. My dog has been going to classes since March 2021. He started classes at the age of 6 months. Toast is a Miniature Australian Shepherd and it was clear that he was going to require training as he is a very active dog. I did a lot of research before choosing where we would take Toast for training, When I came to STL Dog Training for the evaluation prior to classes I was impressed with the information about the training. It included the goals for Toast but also for me and my wife. Raising a puppy takes effort and discipline to raise them successfully. Jax and the other trainers have exceeded expectations. They are very professional and obviously love dogs. One of the best advertisements is Jax's and the other trainer's dogs who are usually there when we come for training. They are so well trained. You hope that your dog can reach their level. Toast has had the opportunity to play with their dogs after class. They are very good with Toast even though they are so much bigger. Toast has completed level 1 and 2 training. It is amazing to see the progress. I get many compliments from friends and neighbors about how well he behaves. It makes having a dog so much more enjoyable. I have also boarded Toast with STL Dog Training. It was nice to go on vacation and not worry about him. Choosing STL Dog Training was a great decision. I am sure Toast is a different dog because of the excellent training. I am also grateful for the care shown during boarding. I plan to continue training in the future and use the services of STL Dog Training. I had the worst interaction of my life with a business owner at this place. The owner Jack's was very unprofessional. She had an apprentice doing all the lessons & im not sure he knows what he's talking about. I was very confused & he had little to no explanation about what he was trying to "teach". I'm disappointed bc I heard great things about this place but they did NOT live up to the hype at all. It was very chaotic & the fact that the owner of the business had her own "service dog" that fence fought & was very reactive at the gate by her desk was very scary. I was coming for help with my dog with the same problem & I saw that hers did the same thing. How can anyone there help me! She has some ridiculous excuse but is telling me to correct my dog while hers is snarling & snapping at mine. Just the eval alone was way to traumatic & I wont be goin back. I hope they can find real trainers bc people are paying REAL TRAINERS prices, not apprentice trainer prices.
