STK9 Training Company

I signed up for the in-house 3 week training for my Labradoodle, Jaffa. He is 10 months old and had some issues with leash walking, pulling, etc. As he also had some homesick issues, we switched to day training, coming home at night. His graduation was yesterday and my husband and I were trained on his lessons here at home. Jaffa did everything with flying colors. My first dog walk, post training, was heaven sent. Walking mano a mano, in tune with each other. We were also given ways to correct our dog in the household, which is working fabulously as well! I think he is happier too, not being told “NO” all the time. I would highly recommend STK9, and also the loving staff!

When we adopted our puppy, he was supposed to be a small Chihuahua mix. 10 months later, he's 50 lbs and an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. We tried in-home training which worked when he was little. As he aged, he grew more unruly. At wit's end, we called STK9. We had our "interview" and he was "accepted". Amen. After the 3 week with boarding, I can walk him again and enjoy it! He learned several commands like sit, stay, place, and best of all heel. Loved watching his graduation video. The progress reports were a salve for missing our guy. DJ was very communicative and helpful with our questions. In fact, DJ, Ashley, Samantha and everyone at Pasadena Pet Motel has been informative, friendly, and professional. We'll be continuing further training and boarding, as needed. Thanks, STK9!

I am not quite sure how to review them. I called a couple of weeks ago and got a reasonable response the next day. I was called a couple of days later by their trainer Matt and I was not available so he left a message to call him back and that was 2 weeks ago and 2 messages ago from me. I am aware that my reviews have been viewed 11k times. I will give them a review based on my experience and I hope I can give them a better one if we work together. Respectfully Mike Edit I did meet with Matt and he was very competent at what he was doing and gave me some very good advice as well. He is very capable , well mannered and I will reiterate redundantly very competent. From his advice my puppy is already progressing by leaps and bounds. This is a great trainer and at the end of my experience after I have had a chance to see where this goes I will likely edit myself again. We have very conflicting schedules so the training may not work out but he has assured me that he can put me in contact with someone who can reach my goals. I do ethically rate each business I review so I am waiting kind of for the next step to move up to the final 5 star review that I honestly believe this company is capable of.

We highly recommend STK9. DJ, Samantha, Ashley and all of the staff were fantastic with our new puppy Kaya and she loves them all. She just graduated from their on leash training and board program. What a huge difference when she got home. Then they trained us humans in our home. She is a an American Akita so we knew the importance of training her early on and the training and love she received at STK9 was great! We will also board her there in the future because she loves going and has met many new human and dog friends. It's comforting to know we can trust them with her when we have needs for her care and training in the future.
