STK9 Training Company

The staff at STK9 did a wonderful job training our smart, sweet but stubborn shepherd! At nearly 3 years old & 95lbs, it was difficult taming him on a leash without pulling & jumping on others with excitement! We can now take him on walks anywhere in public feeling relaxed and proud of his behavior! We would highly recommend the three week obedience training course to anyone in need of serious training or just some fine tuning. Worth every cent! Thank you, Ziggy’s mom ❤️ 🐕

I took my 4 ½ month old Malinois for the 3 week on-leash obedience training in September. It was difficult to let my fearful, sweet, sensitive pup out of my sight for that length of time, but the decision was well worth it. Franklin was taught very important obedience skills by the remarkable, kind and knowledgeable STK9 staff. The training environment at the Pasadena Pet Motel desensitized him to noises, dogs, and different people in a new environment. All of those put together made a huge, positive difference in Franklin’s behavior. Because of the quality of training and attention to the specific personality and behavior of my Malinois, as well as all dogs that attend their courses, I enrolled him in the off-leash program. The second-best decision I’ve made! Along with Franklin, I have learned a great deal from the STK9 trainers, and I know they will always be available to answer any questions and help when asked.

Update: was refunded for the evaluation so am changing my review from 1 star to 4. I would still not recommend the puppy evaluation service. And before you pay thousands of dollars for someone else to electrocute your dog into submission (that's how they train at STK9), consider spending $50 on Amazon for a shock collar, watch a few youtube videos and see if you can't do it yourself. Previous Review: Puppy evaluation was a waste of money. Should not take $100 to spend 5 min with the pup then lock her in the kennel for an hour. Diagnosis was- she’s a good pup. Likes food more than toys. Not insightful. Didn’t even assess bite inhibition. Maybe good for other services but not this one.

I cannot say enough about STK9 Training. My girl was out of control. I got her at 6 months with no previous training and she was so overwhelming. With her being a purebred Siberian Husky, she was high energy, stubborn as all get out, and I just couldn't get her to listen to me and train no matter what I did. I reached out to STK9 completely frustrated and overwhelmed. They took her in and I literally said "good luck!" haha While she was gone I was expecting a call to say they couldn't get her trained. Even as the updates came in, I was in disbelief thinking they must not be talking about Arlo! As excited and proud of her as I was lol We just got her back and she is a totally different dog!! She is so well behaved, night and day, she listens to commands, and she is SO excited to listen and "work" for me. I knew she was smart, just stubborn, but I did not expect the major turn around in just a few weeks. I kept telling the trainer how shocked I was and asking is this the same dog? Yes, I know I paid for the transformation but this was a MAJOR transformation in my girl. I will continue to use them for future work on her and future dogs! I really am SO impressed.

I could not be more happy with the way the staff at STK9 Training were with my dog Luna. They were very patient and kind with Luna and myself. Luna went into the program not listening, and having major behavioral issues. Three weeks later she came out a new puppy. She is not growling and barking at every person that walks by, her confidence is growing and she has really taken on her new commands like a pro. If you are ever considering sending your dog to boot camp, call STK9 Training they won't let you or your dog down. Thank you team for all that you did for Luna and me.
