i came to starr dog as a last resort to clear up some behaviors i wasn’t quite sure were training issues. from the second i spoke with the owner i new i had chose the right trainer. my 9 month old german shepherd walked into her first lesson unconfident, uncomfortable, and full of anxiety. Within our 1 hour session she’s walked out of there already with extreme difference and confidence. he not only corrected her, but also corrected me with the way i was training her and gave me the confidence to carry on with his technique. 100% best experience and will be returning! i will recommend starr dog behavior to anyone no matter what!

The board and train was just what my dog needed! Joseph provided structure for my dog and guidance for me. I learned how to be a confident leader for my dog so the good behavior continues. I highly recommend Joseph Starr and his services for dog training. This man knows his stuff. He's a highly knowledgable Jedi Master of dog behavior. The training he’s done with my dog has helped our household tremendously. I booked an evaluation for my dog for board & train services on his website. It was super easy to schedule with appointments available within days. Within the first two minutes of the evaluation he was able to pinpoint the problems and what was needed just by observing my interactions with my dog. For reference, I have a very stubborn English Bulldog who I’ve ignorantly allowed to run my household for the past 3 years. I’m pleased to say that is all changing. He made progress with her in the first 30 minutes of meeting us. After two weeks of the board & train program, my dog was more balanced and happier. We continue to make progress daily applying his training techniques. The board & train was absolutely helpful. He communicated with me regularly and still does even after she’s come home. He’s patient and listened to the specifics of what my needs were so that continuing his training would be possible within my schedule and lifestyle.
