Starr Dog Behavior

I hired Joseph to help with my crazy, high energy husky/German shepherd mix. I know I had my hands full with zeal (my dog) but Joseph helped me tremendously. He is so knowledgeable and just has a way with dogs that’s like no other trainer I’ve had before. It’s amazing to see how well trained zeal is now compared to before! 100% recommend going to Joseph for any and all things related to your dogs needs!

I have several times referred to Joseph as the Cesar Millan of Dallas and for good reason. My dog Zoey had the most amazing transformation after her 3 week board and train with Happy Paws. Joseph was great about understanding exactly what issues needed to be addressed with my dog and how to handle them, all while be accommodating to my schedule. My dog had pretty severe anxiety that manifested itself into bad walking behavior and destructive tendencies when left alone. After the program she has great walking etiquette, significantly reduced separation anxiety, and is crate trained. Joseph trains not only your dog but also you on how to be a more responsible dog owner and has allowed both me and Zoey to enjoy life more. A truly priceless experience!

Joseph has worked wonders with my crazy 11 month old borderdoodle. She participated in the 3 week board and train program and the improvement has been remarkable. She listens, she follows commands, and she has learned how to be relaxed (previously i literally couldn’t get her to sit still). Joseph was attentive, responsive, and has really impressed me with his follow up. He cares about the dogs he trains and ensures the owners are successful in continuing the training and learning how to be an effective leader. I highly recommend his program!!

Would highly recommend 100% that you do a session with Joseph as soon as possible if you are having any issue with your dog. We adopted a golden retriever puppy, 6 months, having a lot of trouble pulling on the leash and walks had become miserable quickly. Was referred to Joseph via the folks at uptown pup, reached out and he was able to get me an appointment within a week. Had a terrible walk w the puppy two nights ago and the pulling was quickly escalating, asked Joseph if he possibly had an last minute slots I could squeeze into, he got us in the same day (last night), worked wonders with our dog in just one session, and he stayed late in the session (I lost track of time) to make sure he answered all of our questions. We have only had a single session with him so far but have implemented what he suggested and can already see significant improvements in behavior. We are planning on weekly appointments for a while. Couldn’t recommend higher.
