Stanfur'd k9 - Dog Training

Very grateful to Jorge for his help with my family’s dog in San Francisco - my family has an Australian shepherd who lives in a small apartment, and we didn’t have the correct info raising him so it was hard to get the right behavioural patterns instilled into him into his adulthood. He’s a v lovely dog but things like resource guarding and too much barking or being bossy were problems. Jorge fixed his temperament and gave us important info and instructions to continue his better behaviour at home and so far it’s been great

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to become part of the Stanfur'd K9 family! George is an exceptional trainer, educator, and genuinely caring person. I was incredibly nervous about leaving my one-year-old Pocket Bully with anyone because of his attachment issues and tendency to become overly excited. From the very beginning, George was supportive, patient, and professional. He responded to my initial inquiry almost immediately and continued to guide and reassure me throughout the entire process. The application was simple yet incredibly thorough, and the meet-and-greet gave me complete confidence that my pup was in the best hands. George was able to recognize behaviors and subtle responses in my dog that I hadn't even noticed before. Right before boarding, my poor buddy developed a gunky eye from what turned out to be a bacterial infection related to an allergic reaction. Thanks to George's experience working in veterinary offices, he knew exactly how to handle the situation and completely put my mind at ease while my pup was away for six weeks. Throughout the program, George kept me updated with videos, photos, and educational materials so I could understand what my dog was learning and be prepared to continue the training at home. That level of communication made all the difference and showed how invested he is in both the dogs and their owners. Although the program was only a total of six weeks, the support didn't stop when the board-and-train ended. I had lots of great opportunities to work one-on-one with George and my dog to learn proper leash handling and walking techniques, recognize the early signs that my dog was losing focus, and set clear, consistent boundaries. He also made it a point to check in with me after training was complete. George doesn't just train dogs--he teaches owners how to build lasting communication and trust with their dogs. I can't recommend Stanfur'd K9 enough. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about your dog's success and gives you the tools to maintain that success long after training is over, George is the trainer you're looking for. Cannot say enough good things about Jorge and Stanfurd K9. Writing this review with my family who is also happy to leave Jorge 5 star reviews. We have an Aus Shepherd who we left a barky, often anxious fellow and got back a focused, calmer dog. What I loved was the constant updates, photos/videos and booklets so I always felt he was in good hands. Our family will continue to leave our Shep with Jorge.

My boyfriend’s Australian Shepherd, Kosta, stayed with Jorge and the difference has honestly been huge. He used to bark at everything, and while he’s still his goofy self, he’s so much calmer now and doesn’t feel the need to announce every little thing going on outside. You can tell Jorge genuinely cares about the dogs and puts a lot of time into them. Kosta came back happier, more settled and much easier to be around. Couldn’t recommend Stanford K9 Training more. Sent Jeremy to Jorge after a mate recommended him and couldn’t be happier. Jeremy was a nightmare on walks. Pulled like a freight train and would lose it every time someone knocked on the door. We’d kind of accepted that’s just how he was. Got him back a few weeks later and it was honestly a shock. First walk I took him on he was actually checking in with me instead of dragging me down the street. Even when people come over now he’ll have a little look and then settle instead of carrying on. Jorge obviously puts a lot of work into the dogs while they’re with him and gives you heaps of advice when they come home too. Money well spent. Cheers Jorge.
