Stanfur'd k9 - Dog Training

Jorge is a top notch dog trainer. We brought our five year old dog to Jorge to work on leash reactivity and more. Changing behavior that has been ingrained for years, starting when she was a puppy during Covid and missed out on early socialization, is hard. Jorge goes above and beyond to get it done. We did the six week program, and Jorge asked to keep our dog for an extra week (free) because he felt she was close to a breakthrough but needed a bit more time. Jorge does all the fundamental rewiring, and he is also creative with replicating the weird scenarios that need practice with each unique dog. He bought a skateboard and later a blow-up thing that you see at car washes which waves in the wind to work on our dog's triggers. She is now incredibly calm around these and other previous triggers thanks to his ingenuity. Jorge will have you practice the scenarios you find most uncomfortable - for example, walking your dog through a crowded book store and having her lay while you browse books - was a scenario that was previously impossible and anxiety inducing for us but was a milestone of progress around week 6. We have a lot of work and new routines to keep up at home, which Jorge is up front about. But we also have the toolkit to handle things as they arise. He guides us through the transition with frequent video and voice messages, and he's always there to help steer when we have questions. We also use Jorge for occasional boarding when we're away, which is great, since our dog gets some extra training along the way. We can tell that she loves spending time with Jorge, which is a testament to his approach to training and the care he takes with each individual dog. Thank you, Jorge!

We’ve had such a great experience working with George at StanFÜR’D K9! He helped our dog Luka improve significantly with leash walking, biting, and jumping. George is super communicative and consistently sent us videos and updates, which helped us understand the training process and feel involved throughout. We’ve been so impressed that we’re now boarding Luka with him, and we feel completely confident in the care and structure George provides. We cannot say enough great things about Jorge! He worked with our 3-year-old mini Goldendoodle, Leo, who stayed with him for a 6-week training program. The results have been amazing — Jorge is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly understands dog behavior. Leo came back more confident, responsive, and overall more well-behaved. During the training, Jorge also did a few 1-on-1 sessions with us and Leo, which were super helpful in reinforcing everything he learned. What really sets Jorge apart is that even after the program ended, he remained available and responsive whenever we had follow-up questions or needed extra guidance — a level of support that really meant a lot to us. In addition to training, Jorge grooms both Leo and our 7-year-old standard Goldendoodle, Demi. He’s gentle, thorough, and they always come home looking amazing. He also offers boarding services, which gives us peace of mind knowing our dogs are with someone we trust when we’re away. Jorge is truly a gem — professional, kind, and genuinely passionate about what he does. We feel so lucky to have found him!

Our puppy went through Jorge’s board and train program and it was a real life saver! Started with a puppy too afraid to walk a single step on the streets of San Francisco and ended with a cheerful confident boi. We still go back to Jorge’s regularly for short boarding stints and text him for adolescent dog training advice all the time. He clearly cares a lot about our puppy and we can really not worry about him on our trips away. In fact he always comes back from boarding better behaved and smelling fresh! ☺️
