The reality is your family dog was dropped off underweight with preexisting conditions. <br><br>She was fed her homemade diet, and we followed all care instructions to a T. We fed the exact diet that was given with zero additives, or substitutions, to the exact schedule, and as dictated. We did everything that was asked.<br><br>No one can control how every dog responds to the potential stress of being in a new environment. She was not here for training, but we still took her for walks and played with her. She was a skittish dog, but we did everything to make her as comfortable as possible.<br><br>On her third day, while I was giving a police and military dog seminar one of our trainers notified me that he felt something was not right with her, in his opinion. I notified your family and advised that he take her to the vet which was declined because it was felt that it would stress her out. He spent the night next to her kennel to monitor her and make sure she was comfortable. In the morning, he decided to take her to the vet regardless, because he was worried about her. I supported his decision. We could not predict what would come next of her passing in transit/upon arrival.<br><br>I arrived shortly after while being in contact with the vet and trainer and giving live updates to your family. The vet report noted in detail about her condition, and stated that there was nothing that we did, and there was an underlying preexisting condition.<br><br>Even though I was told that it could come back inconclusive I advocated numerous times for an autopsy, and offered to pay for it.<br><br>Again, all care instructions were followed. Our trainer went above and beyond, going so far as to sleeping on floor next to her throughout the night after suggesting taking her to the vet on the third day, which he ended up taking her on the morning of the fourth day.<br><br>Her loss was extremely unfortunate, and something that I think about every day, but it was not caused by us.
