Special K9 Dog Training & Country Resort

I have boarded and had my service dog trained at this Speical K9. It is not just a just a facility. The staff actually cares about you as well as your dog. I don't take the time to write reviews unless I am very impressed. I have and would recommend Special K9 to anyone for boarding or training. I felt like my dog was safe and I was treated with respect and kindness. I was honored to have them train my dog.

Special K9 completely changed my life and my relationship with my dogs. Before training, my boys were extremely hard to handle. They didn’t listen, they pulled me to the ground, and they destroyed so much in my home, couch, bed, table, you name it. I tried multiple methods and approaches on my own and nothing worked. I felt overwhelmed and honestly defeated. The team at Special K9 treated my dogs like their own from day one. They didn’t just “train” them, they truly understood them. My dogs are XL, 80–100 lbs, very strong, and not easy cases at all. But the trainers were patient, professional, and incredibly skilled. Now my boys are calm, responsive, and a joy to live with. We can finally live peacefully together. I got my home back, and more importantly, I got back the ability to enjoy and love my dogs without constant stress. I cannot recommend Special K9 enough. What they did feels like a miracle.

I feel compelled to write a note about Jenny Oberhelman and her great staff. Rocky is our silly mixed boy who loves to ride the daycare bus; loves the staff; loves to spend 2 days a week at day care with his friends. He comes home happy and most importantly - TIRED. Hahaha. We had a couple of emergencies during the 5+ years we've been acquainted with Special K9 Training and Country Resort...we've had to board Rocky at the end of day care days. Neither the staff or Rocky batted an eye. Family is what I think of when I think of Special K9!!
