Southern Pine Kennels

I wouldn't recommend this trainer / service. I sent our 2 puppies up there, healthy and of good weight. Both came back with parasites, hookworms, and bleeding. I had both dogs at the vet less than a day after picking them up from the kennels. Vet immediately thought we had picked them up from the side of the road, as they were so malnourished, skinny, dehydrated and sick. I have tried to address this with Kevin, he asked what I though was reasonable, I asked for 1/2 our money back to assist in covering the vet bill and medicines, and because we paid him an extra $1000 to potty train the dogs, which they are not, on top of the training cost. Both dogs have, several times, used the bathroom inside the house even after we continued the instruction we were given, take them out 20 mins after feedings and every 1/5 - 2 hours through 9pm. We have had over $800 in vet bills and another $180 in medicine we have had to purchase to try and get the dogs healthy. I would strongly caution anyone sending their family pet up here. People were nice while we were there, however, haven't been so easiest to deal with as of now.

The Erdmier family is absolutely wonderful. Kevin worked with our 8 month old lab and the difference was amazing after her stay at Southern Pines. She was so much more focused and eager to make us proud that you could tell they spent a lot of time with our baby. Kevin has stayed in touch and really forms a bond with the pets he cares for. We needed to board Willow for the first time last month and Southern Pines was the only place we would consider. As soon as Willow saw Kevin, she rushed over to him and jumped right up in his truck. When we got her back, it was obvious she had her own mini vacation while we were gone. Kevin is absolutely amazing at what he does and Southern Pines is the only place we will ever take Willow.
