We are an appointment only facility outside of our walk-in hours Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 3-6pm. We are a family owned and operated dog training business. We use science based methods and modern psychology principles to help companion dogs and owners learn to communicate.

Do you have puppy kindergarten classes? I have a 12 week old mini aussie.
We have a 6 week puppy class for $150. It’s very I depth and informative for the owners and each ouppy will learn many key skills including learning to relax and socialize with other puppy’s.

My 3 yr old Brittany is 90% good at coming back to me when off leash; it's that 10% that has me concerned for her safety. She won't listen to me when deciding to chase a squirrel or bird; can I train her to respond to my command at all times?
Yeah you can train her to respond and in time ignore and not even stress out due to a squirrel sighting. Meet n greets are the best thing to start with. We also have a Free Informational coming up. Monday October 7th at 6pm.

I am a first time dog parent, so don’t have a lot of experience, but I can say without a doubt that the care, thoughtfulness, and valuable training we have received is above and beyond my expectations at Southern Oregon Dog Training. My puppy is completely at ease and learning with every training session. I have always been treated well and not made to feel inadequate for my lack of knowledge about dog training. There is nothing more comforting than knowing that my four-legged family member is loved and safe while also having valuable training lessons that I can continue at home. Couldn’t ask for better care or results!
Quality information for new dog owners. Ask questions about your dogs, what to do next as they grow and get to know you. Also available, higher quality treats for training and food brands that keep the dogs healthy. I have had good experiences here over the past couple of years.

Highly recommend everyone at Southern Oregon Dog Training. My dog was having some behavioral issues stemming from an injury, and I also needed boarding. Was able to work out times that worked well for everyone. From the first time I took him there to meet Beau, I could tell my dog, Larry, was in very good hands. It was the longest I'd been apart from Larry since adopting him and they provided excellent care and training. They sent daily updates where he was clearly having a blast. Since he's been back we've been continuing the training and Larry is showing excellent progress. Thanks to Beau and everyone at SODT, my relationship with Larry is just getting better and better.
We sought help for our 6 month old Rhodesian ridgeback 2 years ago. Returning this year for refresher. Training is not just for dogs! Owners often need it too, and they will get it here. I can’t say enough good things about this professional, friendly, awesome dog experience.
