We sent our puppy to obedience training with Michael at Southern Edge K9. He came back a completely changed pup! He was so much more obedient and the transition home was smooth since we ended up getting a cot similar to the one he 'placed' on during training. I highly suggest having a raised cot in your house that noone else is allowed on, especially small kids. This gives him his own personal 'place' and makes down time easier and less stressful for everyone in the house. When it was time for our pup's exit, Michael trained me, the owner, on some proper leash etiquette and basic commands so I felt more prepared to have him back home as well. Our kids were anticipating his back-at-home arrival and it was Michael's brilliant idea to do our public exit training at my child's school during his scheduled Pet Day. My 1st grader was so sad that I told him our dog wouldn't be back in time to make Pet Day and it was SUCH a surprise when he showed up!!!! Picture provided is from Pet Day with two of our four children. Because our pup was at training a little longer than expected and through joint payment, Michael also carried our pup to get groomed for us before coming home as well! Wonderful customer service! We were so pleased with this training experience and plan to use Southern Edge K9 for dog boarding purposes as needed in the future as well.

Came to Michael with my very fearful hard to manage Labradoodle, Willow. She was scared of everything, couldn’t bring her in public or have new people in my home. She was jumping on guests, knocking over my 8 year old son. Michael was fabulous came up with a plan quickly for her and before I knew it we making the 6 hr drive to GA from NC. During her stay she worked on basic obedience and management of her fears. She’s come such a long way unfortunately I was only able to train with her twice before her return home but he took days out of his time to make sure I was prepared. Not only while I was there but over video while I was in North Carolina. All I can say is WOW! She can walk through a store with out (flying her like a kite) she’s nervous but has the new skills to focus on me and stay calm. We have only been home two days, (I have another doodle in my home) had a concern called he helped me right away. I also went to the groomer they were able to look her over while she stayed still and calm no jumping to greet them or frantic out of control behavior, She’s like a new dog and with consistent effort from me applying all the new skills we’ve learned from Michael I know the sky is the limit and she will only continue to improve! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ! If you are like I was, at your wits end lost just wanting better for your dog and your home, call them! You’ll be so glad you did!

My family and I highly recommend Southern edge k9 for all of your dog training needs! From basic obedience down to behavior modification! Michael took our very skiddish and timid Female GSD puppy and helped her to become a very confident dog. Not only did he provide her with the necessary obedience skills, but at the end of her stay he met with us as a family so that we would have the necessary skills to keep our pup happy! Even after almost 2 years, he still checks in and answers any questions and concerns I may have as she grows into a teenager! What else could you ask for?! That's quality!
