I couldn’t recommend them more! My puppy is currently in the STAR puppy classes, Amanda and Patti are both amazing. They are both so patient and so good at training you to train your dog. I’m already a much more confident dog owner from these last 4 sessions, I’m not a first time dog owner and really wish I would have did this course with my first dog. I really enjoy going weekly, it’s such a welcoming environment.

We had such a great experience with Southcoast Dog Training while working with our rescue dog, Oliver. Every rescue comes with their own history and challenges, and they were incredibly patient and thoughtful in understanding Oliver. We saw such a big difference in Oliver’s confidence and behavior, and just as importantly, they taught us how to communicate with him better too. The guidance, encouragement, and practical tools they gave us made a huge impact. Oliver has improved so much since going to training. We are so grateful!🐾

Sandy and her staff are absolutely amazing. I brought my black lab to Sandy for his puppy training and level 1 obedience. I love that before we could even sign up for a training class Sandy met with us one on one and took her time understanding exactly what we needed from the class. From there, she was able to direct me to the best class for us. If Sandy’s not teaching the particular class you’re in, she checks in to see if you’re getting what you need from the class. My lab had issues with reactiveness and protectiveness once I got pregnant and Sandy worked with us even after the training session had ended to make sure I would be confident taking him out in public. You can really see how passionate Sandy is about dogs and I’m not just talking about how cute they are. She’s passionate about the dynamics of owning a dog - relationship between owner and dog, safety when taking your dog out in public, family dynamic with dogs, etc. She goes above and beyond all of my expectations. She treats my lab as if he were her own. I just recently brought my lab to the vet for his routine checkup and he exceeded all of my expectations on how well he behaved. I know we’ve put in the work at home, but it was nice to see the results. He was able to sit in the waiting room with other dogs coming and going without reacting at all - no growling, barking, or breaking command. We got multiple compliments from staff and customers about how well he behaved and I owe it all to Sandy! She taught me exactly what I needed to work on with him and how to execute the trainings at home. We had an amazing experience at south coast dog training! Sandy, Patti, and Amanda are extremely knowledgeable as well as personable, and really made the environment both welcoming and informative. There were some things our pup struggled with more than others, and someone was always available to work 1:1 with her in the group class, trying different things to get to the same end goal. The price was completely reasonable for what we received, and our hyper girl was noticeably more obedient and accepting of commands after just the first class. I’m sure we will be back for more classes, I cannot recommend south coast enough!!
