South Paw Dog Training LLC

South Paw's training help has been LIFE CHANGING for me!! I have now trained two service dogs under their guidance and cannot be happier with the results. My dogs have helped me in ways I never imagined and are always the star of whatever gathering we are at because of how well trained they are! Training classes are fun, helpful, and community-building. Private lessons with Nova always feel approachable and are personalized to my specific dog and to her personality. She LOVES it! And I do too!

Nova at South Paw is fantastic! She helped me find and train Reshi, my service dog. I cannot thank her enough. She turned my $1.50 shelter dog into an exceptional service dog. He never misses an alert, helps me walk and problem solves like a pro. He loves his job. Nova made training him accessible and incredibly rewarding. Training a 130 lb great dane could have been a daunting task. But Nova is creative and patient. She found ways to make training him accessible and went at my pace every step of the way. I can't imagine my life without Reshi now. He is my constant companion. He has proven himself time and time again in all kinds of situations: Disneyland, cross country flights, concerts, weddings, the mall, the zoo, whale watching, museums, aquariums, the courtroom - you name it. He's always a perfect angel. I'm so lucky to have him. And I wouldn't have him without Nova. Nova is not only an excellent trainer but has also become a good friend. Thank you for EVERYTHING Nova!

Cosmo and I have been getting trained by Nova for Cosmo to become a Service Dog. It has been over a year and our experience has been excellent. Nova is knowledgeable, patient, caring and understanding. I needed all of it as I was recovering from stroke. Today my dog Cosmo two years old is a Therapy dog already ( thanks to Nova) and on way to be my Service Dog. I checked out many trainers before zeroing in on Nova.. no regrets!! If I had to do it again I would only go to Nova. She is God sent to Cosmo and I.

Nova has been incredible from the very start — she even helped me pick out my dog as a puppy, making sure he was the right fit for service work. From there, she guided us through every step of training with so much knowledge and care. Her group classes were especially helpful, teaching my dog essential service dog skills. Such as how to go through the security at the airport. As well as building confidence in new places. The training was positive, effective, and tailored to our goals. Nova truly cares about her clients and their dogs, and it shows in everything she does. I’m so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for professional, compassionate service dog training!
