South Austin Dog Center

Erica and Lynnette at South Austin Dog Center are absolutely amazing! They take the time to really get to know the dogs they work with, figure out what the dogs need to be their best selves (which translates to happy humans!), and then set them up for success with the right environment. Their approach is truly rooted in supporting the dog and human, and they stay up-to-date on the latest behavioral science to do so (something that can be hard to find in other trainers!). I have trusted them for years and regularly refer all of my friends to try them out.

My Neptune has been going to school with Lynette and Erica for over 3 years now so that in itself says how great this place is. They are beyond wonderful and knowledgeable in all things doggo. Neptune has come such a long way with his hyper ways and with help has even made dog friends! I joke that he'll be going to school for the rest of his life but that's okay because we love it at SADC. It's like doggy daycare but more focused on whatever issues you're working on so your pup will come home tired and happy. They not only take great care of their client pups but I love that they are big advocates of rescue and work closely with different rescue groups. Hearts of gold these ladies❤️

My 2 year old black lab, Charli, had a fantastic learning experience working with Erica and Lynnette. What stood out to me the most was their willingness to not only work with Charli, but to provide coaching to me as a dog owner. After every session, I would get a full report on what went well and what I can work on at home. I also have received many emails with helpful links and information tailored to Charli. Though Charli finished her course training, I anticipate I will still bring her back to Erica and Lynnette in the future for one-off "tune ups" to help reinforce the lessons and good behavior she learned from them.

SADC has been such a wonderful, stable training destination for our rescue Pitbull Maple. We struggled to find experienced trainers that were patient and understanding of her needs. She came to us with dog reactivity and no baseline leash or out-in-the-world skills. She started with their intensive weekday training and then graduated to one day a week. She loves it there and we are equally grateful for getting all of us to a place of being able to understand and manage her emotions and behaviors. Thank you Erica and Lynette!
