Sound K9

I brought my anxious and reactive goldendoodle to Sound K9 not really knowing what to expect. Since they work a lot with working dog breeds, I wasn’t sure if their approach would be the right fit for us, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Micah and Dave completely changed the way I understand and connect with my dog They helped me figure out how to give Archie an outlet for his genetic needs by teaching me how to play with him. With two 10 minute sessions a day or structured play, he became a different dog! Now, he’s actually engaged with me on walks and doesn’t react to other dogs anymore. It feels like now, he doesn't just do things I tell him because he feels like he has to, but because he wants to! What's even better is that the training didn’t just stop his reactivity but changed everything. The techniques I learned at Sound K9 have made such a difference in our day to day life and our relationship. He’s so much more confident, calm and just happier overall. Honestly, can’t recommend them enough!

Sound K9 has been a game changer for our anxious, fearful, aggressive dog. We learn so much every time we have a session. Micha understands each and every behavior our dog exhibits, down to the smallest movements, and coaches us through every step. He reads each situation as it arises and hones directly into our dog- you can visibly see on Micha's face when he is reading our dog's needs and adjusting in time. In just 4 sessions Micha has been able to gain our dog's trust (our dog is afraid of men, so this is huge). We have seen great progress at home as well- he listens much better and most importantly, he is a happier dog. Furthermore, Micha is readily available for support in between sessions and coaches us over the phone when we need it. Our dog has not been easy and we are thankful to now have Micah and Sound K9 along for the ride.

It was a real pleasure meeting Micah for my first training assessment appointment for my big Labradoodle, Ollie, and me. He gave me some great training guidance to help me keep my big dog under control while walking in public as well as advice on how to keep him from welcoming my guests with a tackle at the front door. His fees are so very reasonable for the training provided. I'm happy to give Sound K9 a 5 star review!
