Solid K9 Training Academy

We brought our 17 month old german shepherd who was totally out of control to be trained to relax in house,learn to walk with leash and not jump on people. We now have him home with us and he is a different dog. No running in house walks on leash without pulling no jumping on company. Jeff and Joelle did a great job training both my dog and us. We needed as much training as our dog. It is such a pleasure now having a dog that has a calm state of mind. Would tell everyone no matter how far away you are to have them train your dog. Great job, thank you again.

I attended the owner shadow program-AKA the five days that changed my life! I gained invaluable information on how to curb my dog's unwanted behaviors (leash reactivity and intermittent listening, counter surfing, sock eating!), as well as how to get RELIABLE recall! and now implement these tools daily! We are 2 weeks post owner-shadow and life is ENJOYABLE! I am truly forever grateful to Joelle & Jeff for this amazing program that was a PERFECT fit!!!

We did a 5 day owner shadow program with Jeff and Joelle with our 2 dogs and we are so pleased with the progress we've made! Both Jeff and Joelle were welcoming and kind, answering all of our questions (and we had quite a few!). We really wanted to learn how to train our dogs so that we'd have the tools necessary, and we did just that! Every day was tailored to our needs - we had one dog that we couldn't walk on a leash due to her excitability/reactivity and one dog that had no manners and wouldn't do what we asked unless he wanted to. We left our 5 days with Jeff and Joelle able to take walks (and enjoy them!), have reliable recall, take them out to eat with us, peacefully trim our dogs nails, and so, so much more! We'd recommend Solid K9 to anyone who's ready to stop all of the nonsense and have dogs that are happy and that you enjoy being around! Totally worth it!

Buddy joined Solid K9 Training Academy as a dog with high arousal, aggression, separation anxiety in major resource guarding. I honestly didn’t have high hopes and was kind of hoping for a miracle. He spent six weeks with Jeff and Joelle. I headed down at the halfway point to do hands-on training. But he came home a few weeks ago a new dog. Our walks have been wonderful, he has no problem spending time in his kennel and his aggression has not been something we have seen since he’s been home. I highly recommend Solid K9 Training. Training doesn’t just stop at the end of training and Jeff and Joelle are open to continued support as needed. Buddy has a much calmer state of mind and I think that has made all the difference.

Jeff and Joelle of Solid K9 have genuinely changed my life. My dog was struggling severely with reactivity and aggression, and after consulting with them, I opted for a 4 week board and train. I chose to work with them because they are transparent, straightforward, and because they have proven time and again that what they do works. The only questions I had when my dog was accepted for a b&t was "when, where, and how much?". Their body of work is so extensive and their ethics and practices are so distilled that I didn't have a single question about how things worked. I knew exactly what I was getting into. Throughout the 4 weeks, I was updated regularly and thoroughly, and I knew that my dog was extremely well cared for (I could see it!). She is the happiest and most content that I have ever seen her, and the quality of both of our lives has improved dramatically. I know that I have their continued support, as well as the support of the community that they have built. I've watched my dog transform from an explosive and aggressive dog into a dog who is able to view the world more optimistically and I've become a more well equipped and confident handler thanks to Jeff and Joelle. If you're considering working with Solid K9, do it. Both you and your dog will be better for it.
