Smoky Creek Dog Training

I adopted a male puppy named Beau. He is more than likely a black lab/pit/gsd mix. Because of his mix, he was super high energy and very nippy. I knew he was a good boy despite that, as he was a very outgoing and friendly pup, he was just very young and in need of good obedience training. I reluctantly handed the pup over to Jody, and knew that I would miss him for a couple of weeks. However, this pup was too wild to be a good house dog for me and the family. When Beau was finished with this obedience training, I got an extremely calm and well-behaved puppy to share my house with. Beau now follows all obedience commands, does well with visitors, and behaves on walks. The investment I made for Beau by taking him to smoky creek dog training is the best thing I could have done for my dog. This was money well spent for sure. I can't recommend Jody and his work highly enough.

This man is a dog whisperer. Jody was recommended to me by a friend. I bought a English Shepard puppy who had imprinted on using the bathroom inside, and had no idea what grass was. He also had no obedience commands, and was a bucking bronco at the end of a leash. I was at my wits end, I knew I had a gem of a dog but did not have the skills to train him. I left him at Jody’s , reluctantly, felt like leaving your child, but hopeful Jody could help him. 5 weeks later, I got back a puppy who is pottying outside,, is a joy to walk on a leash, and knows his commands. He is eager to please. Watching Jody working with him, I realized 1) this man is a professional 2) he does exactly what he says he is going to do 3) he forms a bond with your dog , and your dog is going to be sad to leave him. My puppy loves and adores Jody, and that in itself tells you how well he treats animals under his care. His prices are also more reasonable than the current astronomical pricing in the market. Jody is a gentleman, and his character is reflected in the way he conducts himself and trains dogs. I cannot recommend him enough. I am a happy client with a happy dog.

My fur baby is a Havanese and is my joy! I hesitantly took Penelope over to be trained for 3 weeks while I traveled. I went over with Jody the things I would like to see her trained on. I dropped her off and while walking to the car, I could hear her cry - so naturally I cried too. Let me tell you, to those who are hesitating about having your dog trained, it was the BEST decision I ever made !! Because my dog is small (and adorable), she got away with a lot! When I picked her up, I could not believe the things Jody taught her. I thought - “okay, where is my dog?” He went over the commands and showed me how to get the same results. It has been close to a year since Penelope had been trained. I go over most of the commands on a daily basis. I was even allowed to bring her on the plane with me as a service dog. People were commenting to me at the airport what a well-behaved dog she is!! Thank you, Jody!! I don’t know if I would have had the same results with someone else. As a bonus, his services don’t stop after you pick up your dog. He offers any help you might need for a lifetime!! I can’t say enough praise!

Jody did an excellent job training my two golden retrievers. The dogs responded very well to his training, but more importantly he then taught me how to get the same response from the dogs. When I have a question or concern he provides support and follow up that helps me be successful with the dogs. I could not have been successful with two youthful dogs simultaneously without the training he provided for the dogs (and me)! I highly recommend his services!!
