Shawn was amazing and we can’t thank him enough. We boarded our 2.5 yr old German shepherd Poseidon “Posey” with a kennel and when we got our dog back he was not the same. He was reactive to just about everything, and didn’t listen. Shawn taught us so much about our boy and helped us understand the way he thinks and how to react to his thought process. Posey is back to his “teddy bear” and snuggly self and listens so much better! Thank you SMASH K9!

Shawn has done wonders for our house. My dogs used to bark at everyday deliveries/surprises that would enter the room & they would listen seldomly to commands. Dog training can be an intimidating aspect when owning a dog, especially concerning the dog's overall happiness and curiosity. Shawn made it clear from the start that he wouldn't detract from the joy a dog has just from being a dog. His techniques and training work tremendously & with reinforcement at home changes can be noticed immediately. My two smaller dogs Hamilton & Daisy responded in an amazing way to the command structure and how he worked the classes. He is great with dogs, has great patience, and great understanding when it comes to how each dog and situation is different. Shawn also has tremendous flexibility & will go out of his way, without thought, to try to get the dogs to where they need to be. Overall tremendous experience. Shawn had our 5 month old puppy for a 3 week on leash basic training. Shawn was able to quickly identify the source of issues our dog was experiencing and explain to us how he would address them in training. Shawn also provided us with the tools to continue training in the home, taking the time to explain how/why each command is utilized. We have already noticed a huge improvement in our dog's obedience.
