We are so glad that we took Debra's advice and enrolled our new puppy in her Smart Start and Polite Puppy classes! As new dog owners, it was a lifesaver for our family to learn how to adjust to life with a puppy. We saw weekly growth and improvement in our relationship with our puppy as we worked on the commands and relationship building activities that she introduced to us each week. We also appreciated the time given in each class to address each dog owners' particular puppy concerns.

Debra is a knowledgeable and intuitive trainer. We could not be more impressed with Smartypaws. We live 45 minutes from Lee’s Summit and gladly chose to make the drive each week for training (and not only because our dog lived her so much). The small and personal class size allowed for Debra to see where I should tweak something in my training as I interacted with my dog. It has made a huge difference in how quickly our pup has understood what we are asking of her and made life with our growing puppy that much more exciting.

My wife and I were referred to Startypaws and it was a great decision. We were very pleased with Debra’s training approach. It was more about training us, but through in-home sessions where we could see first-hand that her techniques work. Our puppy is much better behaved in the short 4 weeks we worked with Debra. We believe she’s given us all the tools needed to have an all-around well trained dog, but it’s now on us to consistently use those tools.
