Smarty Paws Canine Coaching

We were excited to bring our 10 month old puppy here for training. We tried to call for a week to get more information. They don’t answer the phones. We emailed and finally got a response. We followed the directions in the email which stated our pup needed a recent fecal sample. We got that taken cared of. Email stated no reservation required for registration and to drop off between 9am - 10am any day Monday - Friday that fits our schedule. We arrived at 920am and drove 35minutes across town to be told the facility was full. Not sure how you can say you can drop off between a given time frame that fits our schedule if you turn people away once you max out. Will not be going back to Smarty Paws unfortunately and cannot recommend them based on our experience.

We just completed Obedience 1 with Julie, and can’t say enough about our experience! Our pup Indigo is deaf and was welcomed with open arms into the Smarty Paws family! Julie leads a clear, fun, creative and easy to follow weekly class syllabus and was available 24/7 for support during the week. Julie genuinely cares about her students progress! Indigo has progressed so much, and we can’t wait to continue on to Obedience 2 with Julie!!

I came to Smarty Paws as a first time “Doodle” pawrent. My Bogey started in Kinderpuppy with Julie as a trainer. The 6 weeks flew by and he was so much easier to control and listened better just after that first class. I also put him in Boot Camp and he gets to spend his time there learning and playing - this has increased his recall of everything he learned and helped him around other dogs and in public. We liked it so much we signed up for Obedience 1, and as you can see by the photo just finished Obedience 2. All classes were with Julie and I can say that she is a PHENOMENAL TRAINER! She is patient and stern when needed. Smarty Paws is absolutely worth the money and as I have just signed up for Obedience 3 (with Julie, of course), I look forward to a well behaved dog who eventually passes his AKC Good Citizen and maybe even Therapy Certification!
