Danyel began training my Giant Schnauzer as a 7 month old puppy. She started with the fundamentals as my pup progressed quickly with her style of teaching. She provides progress notes and homework to keep you as the owner, on task. She also provides pack walks to help with socialization. My experience has been top notch and I would recommend Smart Pits to anyone looking to have their dog professionally trained. She’s the real deal!!

I have trained all of my four previous rat terrier dogs w/no problem but our fifth was an extraordinary challenge from the moment he joined our family. We had just moved to Sacramento and I knew no one to ask for help, not even our veterinarian had suggestions. In fact, our veterinarian recommended puppy prozac so we gave it a try. I interviewed several dog trainers and did not feel comfortable w/any of them until Dannyel came into our home and spoke my language. I am dog-centric, dog-sensitive, and confident in my training and treatment of my dogs; Dannyel immediately picked up on this but knew I was struggling w/our rat terrier puppy. She assured me that what I was doing was good, I just needed some reinforcement from her. I didn't like the puppy prozac and she assured me that our Koa would not leave her training still on puppy prozac. She helped but Koa was persistent and needed reinforcement and patterned training every day, something I could not do w/such a busy work schedule so we asked about puppy boot camp and after two weeks at Dannyel's 24 hour puppy boot camp, Koa came back off puppy prozac and behaving much better. He still needed more training and Dannyel offered to continue to include us in pack walks and group classes. Koa is now her, "stellar student" walking off leash, going into the big dog park incident free, easily making friends w/out freaking out. Dannyel remains w/you to meet all of your goals, she wants all dogs and their parents to improve, and she does this w/such ease. She's professional, dedicated, confident, and loves her dog trainer career. She will not disappoint you and your dog will start loving her more than they love you, which is the first sign that she's head of the pack and an awesome dog trainer; dogs don't lie.
