Smart Dog Obedience

We have had two dogs trained by Smart Dog! Both dogs have lived a happy, safe and joyful life due to the training they received. A well trained dog is able to go out on trails, parks, and meet other people without the fear of running away or aggressiveness. That allows both the dog and the owner to enjoy all outings and be very connected! Lea and her staff include their clients in future activities so you will always be part of the Smart Dog family! I sent my dog to Smart Dog in the spring of 2017 after doing tons of research. I didn't want my dog trained to do tricks, I wanted her to come when called and behave in a way that I could trust her around anyone. I spoke to and met several highly regarded trainers in my area, but no one had a program that convinced me of its success until I talked to Lea, the owner of Smart Dog. It was, and still is, one of the best decisions I've ever made for our family! So much so, that we adopted a second dog in early 2019, who also graduated from in-kennel training. We now have two "Smart Dogs"! One of the best things about the Smart Dog program is the follow-through. Lea and her team are happy to answer my questions and offer follow-up lessons if needed. They host group outings each month that are excellent for my dogs to socialize with other trained dogs and are an excellent "refresher" for the dogs (and me!). The training is straightforward, with a set amount of commands associated with the dog's behavior. I feel privileged to be part of the Smart Dog pack! Thank you Lea for all your great training with Max and Ace! We couldn't be happier... When they came home from your Smart Dog Obedience school, they were so well behaved on walks, in the house and with our friends and family we were just delighted. As you know when we first met, I was a working mom with middle-schoolers running around and it was just overwhelming with new puppies on top of it. In fact, I think I first called you in tears, on my way to work, because I didn't know what to do. Today, we are the happiest family ever with two amazing dogs that are very well behaved. We are so glad that we participated in your 6 week in-kennel program. It was the best investment ever and the 6 weeks went by so fast! I loved all the photos you sent me along the way.
