Sky River K9

Paid $100 for six sessions with I think it was supposed to be five other dogs. The trainer doesn't have everyone do a task at the same time with their pups, after demonstrating with her dog or another dog in the group, she has everyone take a turn doing said task... in the meantime while all of the other dogs are taking their turns some learning quite quickly others taking more time than others you have to sit there and keep your dog well-behaved and busy this entire time because it's basically a one-room Studio sized training area unless the weather is good then you go outside where there are tons of distractions and you are still required to keep your dog busy whilst other dogs get their turn learning today's tasks. It wasn't for me and my puppy, so I send a very polite email explaining that I was expecting more busy time during that time with training and learning as a group so that my dog could learn with a group the entire time since they are only hour-long sessions this email was sent after the third session. I didn't ask for a refund nor did I expect one, and to this day have not received a reply from the owners or trainer of this place with any sort of response at all . the most you will spend training with the trainer is probably 10 minutes if your dog is pretty good. otherwise other dogs/humans take up quite a bit of time while you're keeping your dog busy waiting your turn.

Oh boy, this is derfinitely a place you want to avoid. The person (?) called Crystal doesn't give a toss about you or your dog. She is rude, moody and unable to communicate with people. I dropped in for the Sunday Drop In class tonight and was shocked to be greeted at the door with, "Get out, get out, get out, we're not ready" and furious waving of arms. Having made no eye contact with me I honestly wasnt sure if she was speaking to me or the dog. I made the mistake of arriving 5 minutes early since this was my first time at class. Apparently 5 minutes later when she was ready she came out and said, "Can you go down there?" I didnt know what the hexx she was talking about having neen given no explanation. Mistake number 2 - I asked what she meant. In a state of torturous annoyance she ' shooed' me away and said, "just go down the sidewalk." Well my own civility was gone at this stage. After telling her I was here for the first time to join the drop in class she told me, "not unless Ive worked with you before." It does NOT make that a condition on the website. She didnt like being told that and said "goodbye then." I was hoping to do this class and also the structured day care they offer, needless to say I wont be subjecting myself or my dog to either. The poor Crystal personbis clearly mentally unbalanced and in need of some kind of respite for both 4 legged and 2 legged beings. I hope she sees someone soon.

As a veterinarian for 30 years with a long-standing interest in behavior and training, I am incredibly impressed with Sky River K9. What I have achieved with my dogs from Crystal's expertise is far beyond my expectations. My dogs are more responsive to me than ever, and they have a total blast in class. I wish THEY could write this review. They love Crystal! Class is truly the highlight of our week.
