Sky Dogs

Don't bother. I took my 2 year old border collie for flyball training and drove 100 miles for classes. Each time we went we were scolded for various unknown rules. Barking at another dog. Standing near another dog. Leaving her leash on the wrong side of the hurdles. Throwing her a ball while waiting a long time for our turn in line. Running with the wrong hand on her pull toy. Nobody told us how to do any of this. I took her in the hopes she could get flyball training. But I couldn't do anything right as my dog's owner and their arbitrary rules were discovered after being scolded and humiliated often in front of the few other dog owners. It seems to be very cliquish and not welcoming to new participants. I was yelled at within the first 5 minutes, after driving 100 miles to get there, because my dog barked at another dog. Seriously. I'm not kidding. My dog is a border collie. She barks when she first meets another dog. For 10 seconds. Sorry. She's the sweetest dog ever. But if your dog barks when she meets another dog, beware. Out of an hour class she might get 10 minutes of actual coaching and activity, it's not enough. I can do that on my own. The training is not clearly defined as to the ultimate goal of flyball. I've taught her to jump hurdles and run through tunnels. Where's the flyball part? We went to 3 classes and it was the same thing. Cliquish and disorganized. Extremely disappointed.
