Sjabo Dog Training

We have a Border Collie/Rottweiler mix - at a little over one year old she was a big girl with standard puppy behavior! She definitely has more energy than your average dog, but we were putting in the effort and not understanding why our training wasn’t sticking. We brought her to John in early January and when I tell you we had a completely different dog by April, I’m not kidding! He really helped us to learn how to speak her language. We had just as much learning and training to do ourselves as she did, but once we did the response was immediate. I think I most appreciate that John was honest and direct. He would challenge me in sessions to practice while we were in person so he could make sure we understood, and he even came to our house to see us interact and practice in her home space and catch her triggers (squirrels of course lol). I’m so grateful we found this service and John’s expertise. 10/10 would recommend any day!! Do the training if you want to be a better dog parent!

I reached out to John when I got a GSD puppy. He responded right away and had me scheduled within the week. In one session he showed me how much potential my pup had with the correct training. Arlo was super friendly but always aggressively barked/lunged at other people and dogs while at my apartment complex but never at a dog park or in public places. He was so kind to switch our appointment from his on site training to my apartment complex that was 45 minutes away! That was where the game changer was ! I went from not being able to walk Arlo near anyone to Arlo walking up to others and letting them pet him! John really knows what he is doing ! I highly recommend him to any dog owner in need of help!!!

John has been training my 4 month old German Shepherd, Maximus. The experience has exceeded my expectations. He never misses a call or text when I need help. He never rushes through his answers to my questions and gives solid reasoning behind every answer. He know dogs!!! For sure. My boy Maximus already knows sit, stay, down,come, heel, no and he walks well on leash. He even let's Maximus learn to behave around other dogs by socializing him with his 3 well trained dogs. I would highly recommend Sjabo. If you want a confident behaved dog....John is the trainer to see.
