Sit Means Sit of Orange County specializes in dog and puppy training for the real world. Our experienced staff works well with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds and temperaments. Our goal for our clients is to have happy obedient dogs with on and off leash control around severe distractions.

In all our obedience programs we teach the basic commands like come, sit, place, etc. We will also work with your dog on things like car manners, loose leash and off leash walking, and furniture rules. Additionally, we teach how to stop nuisance behaviors like jumping, digging, and biting.

A premier program. In this program, your dog will stay in the care of our staff at our training facility. During their stay, your dog will be training daily with our professional dog trainers. Your dog will quickly learn the commands we teach in the Obedience Training Program.
Group classesProgram details
Our Group Training Program is unlimited for the life of your dog. Clients must first train in the Private Lessons Program or a Board and Train Program before being graduated to Group Training. Once ready, clients can come to as many group classes as they want for the life or their dog.

Great staff, friendly, welcoming. Facility is smaller than I expected but clean, and inviting. I know the price is higher than some places but the service your paying for is life long of your pet which is unbeatable. My dog has learned a decent amount so far, I only wish they offered more group class times seeing how that seems to be the main focus with our training moving forward. They do offer private, however I feel like I was pushed through kind of quickly with this option. But if my dog continues to improve with walking, recall, and manners it'll all be worth it.

We sent our 6-month-old Lab to Sit Means Sit for their 5-day board and train (which is actually 7 days), and the results have been incredible.
Our main goals were off-leash reliability, strong recall in high-distraction environments (like dog beach), and stopping jumping. Todd was our trainer, and he was awesome—he spent over an hour with us at drop-off going through commands and how to properly use the e-collar. I even called him because we were having issues with one of the commands and he explained exactly what to do and now we haven’t had any issues.
The first couple days took some adjustment, but after consistent practice, she picked everything up quickly. Todd dropped her off Tuesday, and by Saturday we already had her off-leash at the dog beach with zero issues.
Couldn’t be happier with the results—highly recommend.

My 3 year old English Mastiff rescue (160lbs) would lunge & pull & bark at other dogs on walks, after about 5 sessions & a few group classes he a completely different dog. He feels more confident, focuses on me more & I can now walk him without fear or being dragged down the sidewalk. 10/10 recommend Sit means Sit. They know what they are doing & won’t give up on you or your baby.

We were really at the end of our rope with our dog who we love dearly but has a lot of behavioral issues. The fact that the Sit Means Sit team was willing to work with him even knowing he’s bitten before really gave us hope. We boarded him for a bit and have been doing lessons as well- he just graduated to group classes! The team has been professional, optimistic (but also realistic), and accommodating the entire process. Our boy still has a long way to go but he’s also come a long way with their care. If you’re willing to put in your half of the work, they will be with you every step of the way!
