Sit Means Sit - New Hampshire

We had such a great experience with Sit Means Sit! With a new baby on the way, we knew our dog Buster needed some extra work. He is a good boy, but he has a LOT of energy and was struggling with jumping, pulling, and some basic obedience. We wanted to find a way to help him better control that energy and prepare him for such a big change in our family. Sit Means Sit helped us with all of it, and they worked with both Buster and us, which made such a difference. They were patient, answered every question we had, and took the time to actually show us what to do and give us helpful tips rather than just giving us a quick answer. Buster is honestly like a different dog! We’ve seen such a huge improvement in his behavior and obedience, and we feel so much more confident knowing how to communicate with him and help him succeed. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for a great trainer!

Finn recently graduated from his training class, and we had such a wonderful experience! The entire SMS team was professional, polished, personable, and truly a joy to work with—especially Mary. Finn learned so much throughout the program, and Tom and I came away with the knowledge and tools to continue building on everything he learned. The class gave him a great springboard for becoming the very best “baby boy” he can be! I’m so grateful for the patience, expertise, and encouragement Mary and the entire SMS team gave both Finn and us. I would highly recommend the SMS team to anyone looking for knowledgeable, caring, and professional dog trainers. 💕

I don’t really have anything negative to say because they never actually trained my dog. However, I feel like this place should be much more up front about their pricing and what their training actually entails. We brought our puppy in for a consultation, and while the employees were incredibly friendly and nice, this place is not somewhere I would ever send my dog. We were specifically interested in their day train program where you can drop your dog off and pick them up later in the day. When we came in they asked us about our puppy and what we were looking for, and then the trainer proceeded to bring out her dog and show us commands that he follows. Sure, that’s great that their dog is well trained and can follow a place command, but I do not really follow how this is at all helpful to a customer. But the best part was when they brought us in and showed us the price. The reason they don’t show you this on the website is because it is $2500 US DOLLARS to have your dog sent there for a total of 24 hours. That’s right, three days over three weeks they take your dog and train them from 8-4 - BUT, you also get their special e-collar that you can only buy there that they use for positive reinforcement as well as group classes for life once a month after that. I’m sorry, but we’ll send our dog to a board and train program for the same price and get over TWO WEEKS of constant training. This may be a good option for some, and I do hope that people have good luck with their dogs here, but the price that they want to charge for their training and whatever other stuff they “throw in” is absolutely asinine.
