Sit Means Sit Houston

Is there such thing as leaving a review with no stars! Terrible and worst experience I have ever encountered! First off this place had great reviews back a year ago so I figured it wouldn’t have changed much. WRONG! I meet HP and he doesn’t even greet my dog or care to look at him while I’m talking to him about everything I hope he can help with. He immediately locks him up in a kennel, and kept talking about everything he is going to do with the new place, and so on. For some reason I felt uneasy but already gave him half a payment. I get home read the reviews and am mortified! So I thought I would call him and let him know, his reviews are terrible and I would give him the benefit of the doubt if he can please be good to my pup so I can give him a great review!!! He went on talking about himself and I told him, he showed no affection or interest in my pup! He said he would take good care of him and gave me his “schedule” which was bogus. I would ask for updates and pictures, either no response or one picture where my pup looked miserable sitting with that collar that is probably the reason why he was sitting so still! In one week I received that picture and a crappy video of my dog sitting in heat and walking beside HP. Something my dog already did with out the shock collar! So here I am 6 days later and texted him in the evening if he can please send me a picture and responds with, the dogs and I are going to bed but will do first thing in the morning. 2 pm the next day still no pictures. At this point I knew something wasn’t right. I gave a ziploc bag of food and they had not asked me for a refill and now no pictures? I send him a text, at this point I’m livid! And tell him I’m getting my dog. And no response! I get there to pick my pup up and they have in the sun at 90 degrees outside, ribs showing and all! When I asked about the food he said he was mixing it with his own! Who gives him the right! What if my dog would’ve got an allergic reaction?! And goes on explaining and still has the audacity to tell me to come back to a group training session! Heck no! I want nothing to do with them ever. I get home, my dog is starving, peeing everywhere, jumping on the coach, my truck and doesn’t even respond to commands I had already achieved with him. He is crazy in his kennel which also was something we did so good with! Not a peep until he left that horror place! I’m so disappointed and can’t imagine what my pup went through during that week! That man should be closed down!

Honestly I have heard wonderful things about Sit Means Sit from friends from different parts of the country. However, when working with the one in Houston, I have not had a great experience. The trainers have been late 3 out of 3 times and also forgot to set up a drop off date for the dogs. When we did our first initial interview the person was great and very confident that the issues we talked about would be addressed. We talked about basic puppy manners (chewing, jumping, potty training, leash walking, door manners) The person said that they were confident that they would be great after the 15 day boarding. Well we paid our 6000 for it and were so excited. The owner was 3 hours late to pick up the dogs and didn’t call to tell me they would be late. I called 3 times before they would let me know what time he was coming (40 minutes late to that time too). When the dogs were dropped off, both dogs had not been trained to their names, and they only learned to sit and to come. The owner said he wanted to set up a follow up, well three weeks later and 4 messages later, I still have not gotten a call back. Since the dogs have been back, both dogs have chewed our stair case, pottied in the house 3 times, and drag me across the yard when walking. With or without the collars on, the dogs refuse to come or sit or stay. Also, both dogs were crated while away, well we have tried it, they whine and cry and throw themselves against the crates.
