Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Western Chicago

We could have never anticipated how satisfied we would be, and we are still in the process of completing our program. Thank you Bianca and Kerry! ..Here are our Immediate life changes as soon as we got him back from Board and Train...full story below.... 1. We put up outside xmas decorations and the dog sat on the porch without a leash, and did not run away 2. I was able to take 6 large garbage came out of the gate to the curb while he sat and watched 3. every-night at bed time i did not have to drag the dog out from under my child's bed , he came right away 4. i stopped yelling at him, volume increase doesn't matter 5. Guest were able to enter our home without being peed on or tackled 6. Son and Dad wrestling and we were able to instantly tell the dog to back away. 7. Energy after being in a crate for 10 hours on a work day was easily harnessed into "practice" rather than tearing up the house We struggled with getting him to stay away from our children while they were eating, and Kerry came over today and within 3 min ( no joke) she corrected what I was doing wrong and Kerry solved the only issue i still had. I was thankful to eb taught, end objective: A happy well behaved dog. Next week she will teach us walking so we can walk with a puppy and a double stroller. I have so much confidence that I wrote the review already. If you want the whole story why we called Sit Means Sit.... it is below. ... We called sit means sit after hearing friends talk about it. Our Boxer puppy was 6 months old when we had our initial consultation, When Kerry came to the consultation, she wanted to hear from us and how we expected our pup to be, all the while observing casually our pup. She then made her recommended training plan. There are a variety of different options for training and it is based of the needs of the situation. Our pup was best fit for Board and Train for 2 weeks. We were ok with the idea. We have had previous Boxers and were able to train them. Due to our lifestyle changes and two toddlers at home, training a puppy wasn't as easy as it was in prior years. Our puppy would run out the door/ gate, jump on every, pee on everyone who walked in the font door, jump on the toddlers, knock them over. His disposition was great, and we could see potential, but our life was chaotic. We got updates, and extra training days due to our schedule conflicts, which benefitted everyone. Kerry was flexible and easy to communicate with. Her assistant Bianca did an Amazing job harnessing our boxer pups energy. She sent us training videos and i could not believe it was the same dog. Once we got our pup back, we had about and hour visit and taught us a few commands that best met our lifestyle needs. We would practice, Kerry was clear and direct when we did or did not do it well. Dog owners must do their part too; it is like any goal you set for your self, consistent and effort is key. This is an investment in your life, not just doggy school.

I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit both Kerry and Bianca truly love what they do every day. I had an 8 month old puppy that was so active that she was turning our house upside down! I sent her to the three week boot camp and Bianca treated our dog like she was her own! Not only did she train her and love her, but when she was sick she took her to the vet and nursed her back to health! Bianca brought Bella home tonight and she is seriously like new dog! Thank you Bianca and Kerry for all that you did for Bella and our family!

I heard about Sit Means Sit from a friend and decided to give it a try since nothing was really working with our Pitbull/Boxer mix, Piper. Kerry came out for our consult and I immediately had a feeling she was going to make a difference in our household. Our dog is incredibly hyper and her focus is almost impossible to break when she fixates. Kerry immediately identified what needed to be addressed with Piper and came up with a plan. After the first session, the change in Piper was evident. We boarded Piper with Kerry and her team while I had a baby and got settled back at home and when Piper returned home, she was a whole new dog. I’ve never seen her so calm and well behaved in the 4 years we’ve owned her! We honestly can’t thank Kerry, Patti and their team enough for helping us and our Hyper Piper.
