Sit Means Sit Dog Training Waukesha

I'm one of those people that doesn't easily give 5 stars or a 10 out of 10. You have to impress me to get that rating and Sit Means Sit in Waukesha, and especially Cody deserves this and more! Don't get me wrong, you have to do your homework and behavior doesn't change overnight but they give you the tools and training to be successful and develop an even better relationship with your dog. The thought of one-on-one training was intimidating but Cody was kind, immediately put us at ease, and made a point of developing a relationship with us and our dogs before anything else. He even agreed to feed one of our dogs after we dropped her off for her training days due to struggles with motion sickness. Our girls are our kids and being an overprotective dog Mom, he continually re-assured and proved to me that their method wasn't hurting our girls. He rewarded them with affection when they followed commands and genuinely seemed to enjoy them, which reassured us that we made the right decision to use Sit Means Sit. We are so thankful that Sit Means Sit will be there at no additional cost, for the lifetime of our girls and we plan to attend many group sessions and continue learning and growing with our girls! We knew of SIT MEANS SIT before we got our Lab puppy but didn’t think we would need to use them. We alway were successful with doing it ourselves. It didn’t take long for our sweet, sleepy 8 week old, to turn into a super high energy, very strong and driven, love everyone and every dog she saw and needed to meet them kind of girl! She quickly turned our house and yard into a whirlwind. Knowing the success of others at SIT MEANS SIT we made the call and you can add us to the list of satisfied customers! We were beyond pleased to have SETH as our trainer. His skills and knowledge of dogs are exceptional. He got to know our pup and what it would take to “ get things in order.” That included us also; SETH helped give us the skills we needed to work with Madi. In three weeks we had a dog that was controllable and our house and yard were “back in order.” Don’t get us wrong, she still needs work. We are building on what we learned and continue with weekly group classes to work through those things that are still a challenge. Thanks to SIT MEANS sit and SETH. We know we’ll get there! A shout out to the office staff and the other trainers as well; a great group! Always pleasant and helpful.

Came to Sit Means Sit a year ago after rescuing a 3 year old Dobermann Pincher from the Wisconsin Dobermann Rescue . We could tell Ike would be a good dog but his nervous aggression on leash had prevented us from seeing him. He was an embarrassment to walk in the neighborhood! Then we met Cody Woods! He did a great job explaining how the collar was an extension of the leash! More importantly how and when to correct. We spent hours training and practicing. Now we can take Ike to the dog park! He is a good friend to all dogs. He also walks at heel on leash! Our next goal is to walk off leash with distractions. Thanks again.
