Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Toms River

I said it my very first session and now i’m saying it again… I could kiss Ray on the forehead for his excellent program and trainers. My Scooby- 4 year old Lab/Chow mix- started experiencing aggression towards dogs and resource guarding with even us at home. He was never socialized nor did any sort of puppy training beforehand. With a baby on the way, I started losing hope and was on the verge of parting ways with him (horrible I know but unfortunately circumstances would have been different if he ever bit a child). My friend introduced me to Sit means Sit. Ray did an evaluation with us and explained in detail his program and what could be expected. What sold me…. was that he was honest about our dog. They were training us with the tools and responsibilities of owning a reactive dog not changing our dog. He recommended the five week course and free socialization classes after graduation. The first time I dropped him off, I had so much anxiety and guilt. Cassidy was the absolute best to communicate with and after seeing how she treated my Scooby, I felt confident and comfortable he was getting taken care of. All of the trainers we worked with were fantastic. I brought my mom to his last session and she was in shock with how easily managed and maintained he was! Scooby went from dragging me down the street and trying to hurt me after wanting to get to a dog to not even reacting the slightest when he walks past one. All because I have the confidence that I can manage and anticipate his next move. I will be bringing all my future dogs here. Ray and his team are excellent and now being 7 months pregnant, I am confident I can keep my baby AND my dog safe.

We recently completed five private training sessions with Sit Means Sit for our puppy, Briggs, and I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience. When we started training, Briggs was struggling with fence reactivity and would become very worked up by noises, people, and dogs around our yard. Instead, they took the time to answer my questions, explain the training process, and remind me that progress takes time. What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared about Briggs. They loved on him, celebrated his wins, and treated him like one of their own. The entire team creates such a warm, welcoming environment that makes both dogs and owners excited to come back. The progress Briggs has made in just five sessions has been incredible. Not only has he learned new skills, but I have learned how to better communicate with him and help him succeed. We’ve already signed up for group training because we’re excited to continue our journey with the Sit Means Sit family.
