We enrolled our 3-year-old rescue dog, Charlie, in the one-week board and train program with Kris and Maizie, and the experience completely exceeded our expectations. We rescued Charlie almost two years ago and don’t know much about his past other than that he had likely been abused and struggled with simple house rules. Before training, we always thought he was just hyper, overly excited, and a bad listener. With Kris and Maizie’s help, we quickly realized that Charlie wasn’t simply “misbehaving” — he lacked confidence and needed guidance learning how to regulate his emotions. Not only did they do an amazing job training Charlie to listen and respond consistently, but they also helped us better understand his personality and what he needs from us as owners. That perspective alone was incredibly valuable. When it came time to pick him up, we were honestly a little hesitant because it seemed almost impossible that such a big change could happen in just one week — but we were completely wrong. Charlie came home more confident, calmer, and much more consistent in his behavior. He has truly amazed us. We’re so grateful to Kris and Maizie for the care, patience, and expertise they showed with Charlie. If you’re considering training for your dog, we can’t recommend them enough.

Bindi And I had an awesome experience at Sit Means Sit. Bindi is an eight month old Aussiechon. She is all puppy and wants to love, Play, and jump on every person and dogs she meets. She was pulling at her leash trying to get to the next interesting squirrel as quickly as she could. I was having a very difficult time getting her to cooperate with me. She attended the 10 day in-house training session with Kris and Maizie. They worked wonders with her during the 10 days. We are now at the beginning of a six month group training. Bindi must’ve had a wonderful time because she can’t wait to greet Kris and Maizie every time she sees them. I continue to learn something every time we go to Class. I now know how to stop her from pulling, stop her from jumping on people and, how to get her to sit and wait I highly recommend them to anyone who is having training issues.
Kris really went above and beyond with our Luke. Best trainer and organization around! When I have to go out of town, SMS takes EXTRA care of our babe!
