Sit Means Sit Syracuse specializes in off leash obedience to the Syracuse and Central New York area. We have a variety of programs including private lessons, day train programs, and board and train programs. We also offer group classes and agility classes.

One of our biggest training philosophies is tackling any training issue at the root of the problem, which is usually away from the home under distracting environments. That being said, we encourage both private and group training sessions at our facility or in a public setting that we refer to as “field trips”! Does it cost money to meet with you all to see if you would be able to train my dog?
We offer a completely free consultation in order for us to get to know you, your dog, and training goals. From there, we will recommend the package that would be best! Sometimes they do have a coupon in the clipper flyer. Prices vary depending on the package. A couple hundred to a thousand dollars. I had a very aggressive dog and he did wonderful with Sit Means Sit.

Depends upon package thaat you choose from. The more extensive, the more expensive. My dogs did great with it.

Sit Means Sit has been such a positive experience for both my Mastiff Hugo and myself. Hugo was a nervous scared reactive dog, but with the guidance and training from Sit Means Sit he is gaining confidence. We worked with Justin and I can not say enough nice things about him. He has taught Hugo to be more confident, calmer and obedient. Hugo has learned many commands and now allows people and other dogs to be near him and me. Justin is positive, observant, calm and a great trainer. The entire staff was wonderful to work with and I am so happy we decided to bring Hugo in for the consult. Thank you Dave and Justin!

I started Frankie, my 132 pound Cane Corso/Lab, last month at Sit Means Sit. I have been truly blessed to have JoJo working with us. I went from anxiety ridden days with Frankie to being able to enjoy every moment with her. JoJo took extra time to work on me, because I was the biggest roadblock with her training. And we still continue to train withh JoJo because there is always something new to learn every day.. This even carries over to my other 2 dogs who are older, not a 16month old puppy. I will recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone who asks. It has truly been a life changing experience in this household. Thank you JoJo! We love you!!

I brought my dog who barked at every animal, car or person that she came across to Sit means Sit for 3 days of dog training. What I loved is they train your dog all day on what you want them to work on and all your dogs triggers and then give you hands on lessons when you come back and pick your dog up so that you can keep up with it at home! They send you videos during the day of your dog so you can see what they are working on which was nice to see Bailey in with other dogs and doing so well! I can’t tell you enough that I am so thankful I decided to do this and the whole team at Sit means Sit is beyond anything I expected! Bailey worked with Cameron the first day, I was so excited that day 1 I could already see improvement with Bailey! She worked with Justin for the other 2 days who was amazing with Bailey and she really warmed up to him and bonded with him which says a lot for Bailey! LOL Justin worked through all Baileys triggers and is a very professional trainer and you can see he truly loves what he does! Thanks to him, I now have a dog who can be around other dogs and people and we can go on daily walks without all the barking and pulling and when people come over she isn’t jumping on them to greet them. I highly recommend Sit means Sit to anyone who wants professional training that truly works!

Took our baby girl for training. She came from a hoarding situation and had never been on a leash or taken commands. Jo, the trainer, did a great job working with our little girl.
