Sit Means Sit Dog Training St. Louis

This is a long review, but we are just SOOO happy with Sit Means Sit. We recommend them 1000% for doggy training!!! My husband and I adopted Nala from a shelter in August and we soon learned that she was VERY reactive towards other dogs. We couldn’t go on walks or see a dog from afar without her freaking out barking and pulling on her leash. We realized not too long after we got her that we needed to do some sort of training for her. I reached out to a few trainers in St. Charles and went to consultations, but it wasn’t until we had our consultation with Chase at Sit Means Sit that I felt confident that him and his team could do great work with Nala. We finished our three day trains and lessons last Thursday 11/07 and even from her first training day we saw a difference that was night and day. Candace was Nala’s trainer during this time and we loved the work she did with her. After her last day train, however, Nala had a few tough days and wasn’t really listening to me or my husband so I reached out to Marco about this and they set up an additional private lesson (part of Nala’s package) with Chase immediately for the next day. I took Nala to her lesson today and Chase was able to get her right back on track. He was able to help me de-stress because he definitely knows what he is doing! Later on today I took Nala to her first group class and even though it was a little tricky at first having so many dogs around her, Chase and Candace were with me every step of the way and were able to help me get Nala to behave and not have reactions during class. I was very nervous about bringing her to group class, but the trainers’ reassurance that she would be okay and they wound never let anything bad happen made me feel 1000 times better. Now I’m excited to keep bringing Nala to group classes and seeing how she keeps getting better as time goes by. Again, I can’t say it enough. Sit Means Sit does amazing work and I am so happy that we decided to take Nala here 💕

We were at the end of our rope with my daughter’s highly reactive pit bull when we reached out to Sit Means Sit and met Chase for our first consult. Luna bit Chase at that first meeting, but within the first three months we were able to make an encouraging amount of progress. By the end of the first year, Luna was a much better and happier dog and my tiny daughter had confidence in her ability to guide Luna through and around reactive situations. It takes a lot of commitment on the dog owners’ part. If you stick with the program, Chase, Marco, Catherine, and Candace will teach you to understand your dog better and how to anticipate and handle your dog in situations that you can’t imagine at the beginning when you’re feeling hopeless. They are honest in their assessments of what’s a realistic goal for your dog and generous with their time and advice. I think so highly of them, I signed my new puppy up as soon as she was old enough.

My 100 lb pitbull Mr Huckleberry has not been the same since he lost his companion two years ago. He got extremely reactive to the point where we couldn’t even go for walks anymore, I admit a lot of this was my fault. I spoiled him and let him get away with murder.. He would even snap at us. There was never an option to give up my dogs I had to find another way, and my husband found this place, and it was a prayer answered. Chase is an honest to God, dog whisperer like the real deal. My baby shark responded to him in a way I never expected. It wasn’t easy, but I got my baby back. We go for walks almost every night now I can’t tell you what that means to me a feeling that is priceless knowing my dog is safe and so am I. If you’re looking for a place to train your dog, do not take them anywhere else but here. Thank me later ❤️ Update, 2 weeks after Mr Huckleberry’s graduation we were able to take our first family vacation, all four of us. He rode so well in the car in his car seat with his sister and has behaved the best I could ask for while we explored Branson with them. This is a dog we couldn’t walk down the street before without him going ballistic.
