I discovered Sit Means Sit through a Google search and scheduled a complimentary consultation. From that first meeting, I was immediately impressed. At the time, my puppy was just three months old, and we decided to move forward with the board-and-train program. The results have been truly remarkable, he continues to impress us every single day. He has worked with all of the incredible trainers at Sit Means Sit, and it is clear how much he enjoys being there. The level of care and genuine compassion shown by the staff is immediately apparent and deeply meaningful to us. He is genuinely excited to see the trainers and eagerly looks forward to attending group classes each week. We truly cannot say enough positive things about this program. I’m often asked where he was trained, and I find myself enthusiastically recommending Sit Means Sit because of how well-mannered and confident he has become. The weekly group classes have also been such a highlight, we’ve become a part of a wonderful community and made many new friends along the way. I sent my 1.5 year old dog to Sit Means Sit in San Juan Capistrano for a 12-day board & train. She was tough to walk & jumped on people & just had bad manners in general. She knew her commands but often acted as though she did not. The results have been incredible! She is a joy to walk now, no longer jumps on people, listens to commands, & is lovely to be around. Her self-control is amazing now. What a wonderful investment in our lives together. Can’t recommend them enough.

Sit Means Sit Dog Training We cannot say enough great things about the Sit Means Sit team and the incredible experience they provided for our Great Dane, Charles. Charles is a wonderful dog, but after coming from the streets where he had little direction, structure, love, or care he truly needed guidance, consistency, and compassion. From day one, the Sit Means Sit team delivered exactly that. The care, love, and professionalism shown by Andy, Joel, Kevin, Meghan, Taylor, and the entire crew was nothing short of exceptional! The results have been remarkable. Charles is now far more balanced, confident, and social with both people and other dogs. The training didn’t just improve obedience, it helped him feel secure and understood. What stood out most was how deeply the team bonded with Charles. You could tell the training was enjoyable for him and genuinely meaningful for the staff. That connection made all the difference. This was our very first experience with professional dog training and it completely changed our perspective. We will never own another dog without proper training. It is the responsible thing to do as a dog owner. Dogs need training just like children. They want structure, boundaries, and love and they thrive when they receive it. When training is done right, everyone benefits. This training changed our lives. Our dogs would react to anything that moves and we would be able to them to snap out of it. We also had issues with having people at our house. They would bark nonstop and anytime anyone moved they would start barking again. We started training in September and within weeks our boys were doing so much better. We opted for the one on one training where they come to our house and take the pup around our neighborhood. This definitely was the right choice for us. Our boys are 7 & 8 years old, and Covid quarantine really messed them up. We enjoy the weekly group class and sit means sit is always there if we have questions or need additional training. On the end, we found out with the right training an old dog can learn new tricks.

I cannot say enough good about Sit Means Sit and their staff. We have a one year old Doberman who has an abundance of energy. I’ve had golden retrievers in the past which came no where close to the same energy level so it was a shock for me. He loved to test us and any boundaries we tried to set. We sent him to the 20 day training and boarding and was the best decision we could’ve ever made! Our boy came back with MUCH better manners and behavior while still having all of his goofy personality! Once we got him back, he was more enjoyable to be around and the trainers were amazing with giving us helpful tips to continue the training at home along with any other issues that arose. He was able to contain his excitement instead of jumping on people, listened so much more, and his recall especially improved. Sit Means Sit has instilled a lot of confidence and obedience that our dog needed with receiving commands and also gave my husband and I confidence with maintaining training. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for anyone who is wanting a change in their dogs behavior and a better way to bond with your dog in a fun way for both of you!
