I can't say enough wonderful things about Sit Means Sit and the entire team, especially our trainer, Emma. We enrolled our 6-year-old German Shepherd, Genesis, in the 20-day Board and Train program, and it has completely changed our lives. Genesis was a COVID dog, so he missed out on the socialization he needed as a puppy. As he got older, he became extremely reactive and aggressive toward both people and other dogs. Walks were impossible. He would bark, lunge, pull with all his strength, and completely overpower me. I couldn't safely walk him, so he never got to enjoy going anywhere. When we brought Genesis in for his evaluation, he even bit and attempted to bite members of the staff. Instead of being intimidated, they remained calm, confident, and professional. They knew exactly how to handle him, and from that moment I knew he was in the right place. Their experience and knowledge were obvious, and it was amazing to watch them communicate with him in a way that he understood. Emma did an incredible job with Genesis. Her patience, consistency, and dedication gave us hope when we honestly weren't sure our dog could change. She never gave up on him, and the results have been beyond anything we imagined. Today, Genesis is a completely different dog. He is learning to walk beautifully on a leash, ignores other dogs and people during our walks, listens to commands, and is calm and focused. It's hard to believe this is the same dog that once made us afraid to take him out in public. He's still excited about going to the car, and through the group classes he is learning car manners, which has been such a great part of his progress. One of the things we appreciate most is that the training doesn't stop after the Board and Train program. Genesis has now graduated into the group classes, and it has been amazing watching him continue to build his confidence and succeed around other dogs. The ongoing support from the team has been invaluable. This training has truly changed our everyday lives. For the first time, we can include Genesis in our adventures instead of leaving him at home. We are so excited to start taking him to parks, pet-friendly stores, and eventually a dog-friendly beach—things we never thought would be possible before. Every single person at Sit Means Sit has been kind, knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely invested in helping dogs and their owners succeed. They don't just teach obedience—they change lives. They gave us the tools to communicate with Genesis, and they gave him the opportunity to live the happy, full life he deserves. We brought in our dog desperately hoping for help. She was unpredictable, nervous, and sometimes aggressive. After only 5 private session with Emma and we saw a huge improvement. Our confidence and our dogs confidence has grown tremendously. We just graduated into group classes! The whole team at Sit means sit is so supportive. Not only do they help answer all questions in person but they also help out side of lesson, we can text them literally anytime and they respond quickly. We’re so happy we decided to come here with our puppy. We had a baby coming and needed to create structure ASAP. We have now found a common set of tasks which helped her throughout and would definitely recommend this to other owners. I will only say that not everyone is down with using a shock collar, but our dog didn’t really mind. We hope to attend the many group classes and look forward to our puppy becoming a hurricane star one day. The staff is super friendly and supportive, they definitely know their stuff.

I am beyond blown away be my puppy’s transformation. I have a 6 month old frenchie and didn’t have any big expectations since he is still a puppy. He came back such a good boy! He is calm and doesn’t jump up and bite anymore. He is less vocal. He listens. He is the perfect gentleman with good manners! I received so many photos and updates which was greatly appreciated since we missed him so much! He even picked up some new tricks! He came home groomed with clean ears and short nails. He was so well taken care of! This whole experience has been life changing! My kids can handle him easier now and are involved with his continued training. We are so happy with him! All the staff are friendly and professional. They are so involved even after training is over! They continue to coach us to make sure we are all successful together!
