Sit Means Sit Dog Training - NorCal

We went in with an unruly high energy puppy who wouldn’t listen and in 10 short days we got a transformed puppy who listens and comes when we call! We struggled with the idea of a shock collar and were afraid we would end up with a different dog but what we learned is it’s a CORRECTION collar that keeps our puppy focused. The trainers at sit me sit all seem to be very good at what they do. We had Selena as Ezra’s trainer and she did a great job with him. Selena was kind and caring and went over everything Ezra learned daily when we picked him up. The after classes were vital to us to learn how to manage our dog. The training is pricey but the results were immediate. Along with the price there were a couple of issues in the beginning that were corrected right away. Hence the 4 stars. Overall we are pleased with our investment and look forward to the ongoing training that came in our package. The correction collar DOES NOT hurt the dog! Always keep that in mind.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marcos! He has been an absolute game-changer for me and my dog, Louie. From the very first session, it was clear that Marcos is not just knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about dogs and their well-being. Louie is a high-energy pup, and I was struggling with basic obedience and leash manners. Marcos approached each challenge with patience, positivity, and a tailored plan that fit Louie’s personality perfectly. I can't start to tell you how great an experience Tilley and I have had with Sit Means Sit, and specifically Marcos, our trainer. Tilley broke a leg at 3 months old, and spent 6 weeks in a full cast and on tranquilizers. She is a heeler, so she was already a bit crazy, but after coming off the drugs, she had completely lost her mind and acted completely wild. While I had never used a trainer before, I decided I needed professional help if she was going to be the partner I needed. Within 2 lessons, she was feeling off leash, coming, every time she was called, and no longer assaulting everyone who walked through the door. I truly took her hoping to make her manageable, and amazingly now have a dog, who does everything I ask, for the joy of doing it. Thank you Marcos, and Sit-Means-Sit, I can't thank you enough. Sit means Sit was a lifesaver for my husband and Me. Our 2 year old boxer was really struggling in a new environment when we moved up to the Bay Area. We had started with some private lessons with Dave and started to see improvements almost immediately. She was a difficult case with some serious fear based aggression which made all dog encounters worrisome. We communicated to Dave that we thought it would be best to send her to a board and train with him specifically to expedite her training. Dave was great through the whole process. He found a spot for her ASAP, and was super communicative through the whole process. She came back to us a more confident and happy dog and I attribute all of that to Dave’s hard work and dedication.
