We adopted a giant rescue dog who was incredibly shy, nervous around new people, and overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations. We called several trainers until we found Sit Means Sit. Jon was the first to say he'd like to meet our dog before telling us what type of training our dog needed.
From the first training session with Judson, the trajectory for our dog completely changed. Judson never pushed our dog too fast and focused on creating positive experiences that helped him gain confidence at his own pace. As a result, our dog became more relaxed on walks, more comfortable in new situations, and much more confident overall.
Judson explained everything clearly, gave us practical tools to use at home and recognized and celebrated the positive changes in our dog. If you have a shy, anxious, or just new to you dog — — I can’t recommend them enough.

Judson worked wonders with our 120-pound rescue Tibetan Mastiff. In just four sessions, we mastered 'come,' 'sit,' 'place,' and 'heel.' Beyond basic commands, he focused on building our dog’s confidence, helping him feel less overwhelmed by the world. Judson taught us that giving a dog a 'job' is the key to a happier, more confident pet and a much stronger bond between us.

We were referred to Sit Means Sit by a colleague and were hesitant at first with the training method, but after the initial talk with Jon and just his experience it really put our minds at ease. And we got to work with Judson who was a gem! He really supported our journey with training and never let us feel like any questions or concerns were too big or too small. Our sweet puppy has become more confident through the training program and it has been so fun to watch how smart he is and how he’s learning to navigate the world for the first time. So happy to be apart of such a wonderful group!

This training has changed our lives! Our dog is an overall good dog, but is super reactive and would pull like crazy. Since Walker’s graduation there is a night and day difference. We have better walk experiences and he’s way more obedient. He just graduated so we still have some work to do, but it’s all about being consistent with our training at home. We did the day train that comes with a free once a month 30 min trainings after graduation. Judson and Blaine were amazing trainers that were relatable and informative. My dog loved Judson! Probably more than me 😅
